PATRICIA K. BURGESS serves as Counsel to the Lexington office of Frost Brown & Todd LLC, where she practices in the areas of commercial transactions, bankruptcy and restructuring, business litigation, and corporate/business. She focuses her practice in bankruptcy, creditor rights, corporate restructuring, and commercial litigation. Ms. Burgess is admitted to practice in Ohio and Kentucky, and is a member of the Fayette County Bar, the Kentucky, Ohio, and Cincinnati bar associations. She earned her B.A degree, summa cum laude, from the Thomas More College, and her J.D. degree from University of Cincinnati College of Law, where she was inducted in to Order of the Coif, and a member of Moot Court Board and Delta Theta Phi. LAURA DAY DelCOTTO is a founding member of DelCotto Law Group PLLC, where she practices in the areas of bankruptcy, debtor/creditors' rights and commercial litigation. She is certified in business bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification. Ms. DelCotto's practice is concentrated primarily in Chapter 11 reorganization work, where she has represented debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, and creditor and equity committees and handled all aspects of bankruptcy litigation. Ms. DelCotto wrote "Jurisdictional Uncertainties Under the 1984 Bankruptcy Amendments," which appeared in the Kentucky Law Journal. She is a member of the Fayette County, Kentucky and American bar associations, the Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Ms. DelCotto earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of the South and her J.D. degree, with distinction, from the University of Kentucky College of Law. DEAN A. LANGDON is an attorney with the firm of DelCotto Law Group PLLC, and has experience in consumer and commercial bankruptcies (Chapters 7, 11 and 13), individual and commercial workouts, real estate closings and foreclosures, collections, mediation and arbitration. He primarily represents individuals and businesses in workouts, collection and foreclosure cases, bankruptcies and adversary proceedings, although he also represents creditors in bankruptcy and adversary cases. Mr. Langdon earned his B.A. degree in English from Centre College, his J.D. degree from the University of Kentucky and his M.S. degree in library science from the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the Eastern and Western District Courts of Kentucky, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has spoken at numerous legal seminars, including the Midwest Regional Bankruptcy Seminar and the Joe Lee Biennial Bankruptcy Seminar. Mr. Langdon has served as a volunteer arbitrator and mediator for the Central Kentucky Better Business Bureau and as a mediator with the Mediation Center of Kentucky.
