LINDA M. LINDSAY, PHR, CM, is a certified professional in human resources and one of 20 certified mediators in Jefferson County, Kentucky. As owner and president of HR Concepts, Inc., her company is committed to assisting small and medium size businesses in developing human resource practices and strategies that allow for cost control, revenue development and greater profitability. Ms. Lindsay has more than 30 years of corporate management experience, with a major emphasis in human resource strategy and process development, and executive and management training development. Her experience includes project management; management training and development; organizational analysis and development; policy and procedure development and implementation; benefit administration and employee relations; affirmative action plan development and contractor compliance; recruitment and retention; compensation; and performance management. In March 2006, Ms. Lindsay was a featured speaker at the prestigious Minority and Women Business Owners Conference, and in September 2006, she was a featured panelist for the Louisville Enterprise Group and Louisville Metro Government's session titled, "Small Business Survival: The Successes, the Hurdles, and the Future." LATOI MAYO is a shareholder with Littler Mendelson P.C. Ms. Mayo has advised, counseled, and defended employers in regard to labor, employment and immigration matters over the past nine years. She has successfully litigated on behalf of employers in both state and federal court, and in proceedings before the Kentucky Unemployment Commission, the State and Federal Department of Labor, the Workers' Compensation Board, the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights, the Kentucky Unemployment Commission, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Ms. Mayo also routinely presents at seminars, focusing on labor, employment and immigration topics for the Kentucky Bar Association, the Kentucky Society of Human Resources and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. She is admitted to practice before the Kentucky Court of Appeals; the Kentucky Supreme Court; the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Divisions; and the U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit. Ms. Mayo is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association and the Fayette County Bar Associations (member). She earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, and her J.D. degree from the University of Kentucky. WILLIAM C. VAIL JR. is an attorney with Fisher & Phillips LLP in Louisville, Kentucky. He has experience representing employers in the defense of employment litigation and administrative actions based on all major federal and state anti-discrimination, wage and hour, and leave laws. In addition, Mr. Vail's practice includes advising employers on immigration matters, including Form I-9 compliance. He earned his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University, and his J.D. degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
