VALERIE S. KERSHAW is a founding partner in the law firm of Dawahare & Kershaw, LLP. She is a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (fellow), American Bar Association and Kentucky Bar Association, and has acted as the chair of the Family Law Section of the Fayette County Bar Association. Ms. Kershaw is trained as a family mediator by the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Court. She is a frequent lecturer on various topics of family law at education programs for lawyers and other professionals. Ms. Kershaw is admitted to practice before the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the Eastern and Western District of Kentucky, and the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. CRYSTAL L. OSBORNE is a founding member of Britton Osborne Johnson, PLLC, where she focuses her practice on paternity, dissolution of marriage, property division and custody. She was voted one of the Best Lawyers in America in 2009 for her many legal accomplishments. Ms. Osborne regularly speaks on family law topics and teaches at seminars sponsored by National Business Institute. In the spring of 2010, she was a guest professor in a mediation seminar at the University of Kentucky, College of Law. Ms. Osborne is a member of the Kentucky, American, and Fayette County (Family Law Section) bar associations. She is admitted to practice before the Fayette Circuit Court; Fayette District Court; Kentucky Court of Appeals; Kentucky Supreme Court; U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky; and U.S. District Court, Western District of Kentucky. She earned her B.S. degree, cum laude from Florida State University and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law. MATTHEW R. WALTER is an attorney in the law firm of Helton Erwin & Associates. Mr. Walter focuses his practice in family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation. He serves as a court appointed guardian ad litem in adoption, dependency, abuse, and neglect cases. From 2003 to 2004, Mr. Walter served as a staff attorney for Honorable Bruce Petrie, Family Court Judge for the 50th Judicial Circuit. He earned his B.A. degree from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina and his J.D. degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Mr. Walter is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Kentucky Justice Association.
