TWILA MYNHIER BROOKS is a sole practitioner in Lexington, where her practice is devoted to estate planning, estate administration, corporate, tax and real estate law. ELIZABETH LEE THOMPSON is a member of Stites & Harbison PLLC in its Lexington office. She is the firm group leader of the creditors' rights & bankruptcy service group. Ms. Thompson’s practice focuses on the representation of substantial claimants, purchasers of assets, creditors' committees and debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, commercial litigation, and representation of lenders in loan restructurings and work-outs. She joined the firm in 1995, developed and facilitates its associate mentoring program, and recently served on its management committee. Ms. Thompson is listed in The Best Lawyers in America 2011. TURNER is counsel with the firm Stites & Harbison PLLC in Lexington. Her practice focuses on the representation of claimants in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, lender representation in state and bankruptcy matters, and bankruptcy mediation. Ms. Turner has more than 10 years experience representing Chapter 7 Trustees, defending adversaries and procuring claim payments for secured and unsecured creditors as well as administrative claimants. Experienced in appellate practice, she has appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the 6th Circuit, and the Kentucky Court of Appeals, and has enjoyed success in both prosecuting and defending appeals. Ms. Turner earned her B.A. degree from the University of Kentucky and her J.D. degree, cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
