J. BRYAN ALLEE is a vice president and trust officer with Midwest Trust Company where he focuses on preparation and administration of estates and trusts. He is an adjunct professor at Rockhurst University and former adjunct professor at Avila University. Mr. Allee has spoken for various professional groups on estate planning. He earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from William Jewell College, and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law. Mr. Allee is a member of The Missouri Bar and the Eastern Kansas Estate Planning Council. VICTOR A. DAVIS JR. is a partner in the law firm of Weary Davis, L.C. Mr. Davis has been an attorney for more than 37 years and practices in the areas of estate planning, elder law, estate administration, and corporate law. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Geary County, Riley County, Kansas and American bar associations. Mr. Davis earned his B.A. degree from Kansas State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Kansas. DONALD D. FRIEND II is a founding member of Friend Cooper, LLC, a boutique tax, estate and business planning law firm. Previously, Mr. Friend was a member of the Tax & Estate Planning Practice Group in the Kansas City, Missouri office of Husch & Eppenberger, LLC. He also is the director of client relations of Sentinel Wealth Advisors, LLC, which serves as a multi-client family office. Mr. Friend represents clients in the areas of estate and trust taxation, estate planning, probate and trust administration, charitable and not-for-profit planning, business succession, and wealth preservation planning. He provides advice to clients for lifetime financial planning involving the special needs of children, spouses, and other family members. Mr. Friend has extensive experience regarding analysis and recommendations on complex estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax issues, including development of complex estate plans. He also advises clients on various partnership and real estate tax matters. Mr. Friend has spoken on various estate and business planning matters, and has co-taught courses at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. He is a member of the Estate Planning Society of Kansas City, the Mid-America Planned Giving Council, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Kansas and American (member, Tax Section) bar associations, The Missouri Bar and the Lawyers Association of Greater Kansas City. Mr. Friend earned his B.S. degree in business from the University of Kansas and his J.D. degree from the University of Kansas School of Law. He earned his LL.M. degree from the University of Florida.
