CHARLES J. ANDRES is a sole practitioner in Olathe, Kansas, where his areas of practice include estate planning and administration, taxation, tax-exempt, real estate, and business law. WAYNE B. HENRY is a partner in the Omaha office of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP, where he serves as the chairman of the firm's nonprofit tax-exempt organizations practice group. Mr. Henry also serves as outside legal counsel for the American Optometric Association and other nonprofit tax-exempt organizations, including hospitals, colleges and universities. He was formerly a government trial attorney in the Chief Counsel's Office of the Internal Revenue Service, where he handled federal tax cases for the IRS. Mr. Henry currently chairs the Great Lakes Tax Exempt/Government Entities Council, a 10-state region with its primary focus on exempt organizations and employee plans. His experience encompasses tax-exempt organizations with respect to various organizational and operational issues dealing with business and tax planning. JENSEN is a partner in the Kansas City law firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP, where his practice emphasizes taxation and tax-exempt organizations. He earned both his B.B.A. and J.D. degrees, with distinction, from the University of Iowa. Mr. Jensen is a certified public accountant. He is a member of the board of directors of not for profit corporations and advises private foundations, public charities and other tax exempt organizations. Mr. Jensen is a past chairperson of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association's Tax Law Committee. MARTIN McCARTHY is a senior attorney in the Kansas City office of Copilevitz & Canter, LLC, where his practice areas include tax exempt and nonprofit organization law, constitutional law, charitable solicitation compliance, administrative agency practice, charitable gift annuity compliance and telemarketing law. He has conducted numerous lectures in his areas of expertise, and assists in editing his firm's publication detailing the governance and regulation of charitable solicitation by third party fundraisers. Mr. McCarthy earned his B.A. degree from Creighton University and his J.D. degree from Creighton University School of Law. He is a member of The Missouri Bar and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. JAMES M. SELLE is a partner at Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP. He has extensive experience with nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations, both as an attorney and as a board member, and in other advisory capacities, from initial organization through the entire life cycle, governance and operation of such organizations. Mr. Selle also has extensive experience in a wide range of commercial transactions, including sales, acquisitions, mergers, business structuring (corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships), contracts, licensing and other distribution arrangements, financings, e-commerce, and real estate, with an emphasis on joint ventures and strategic alliances involving both public and private companies and transactions of local, national and international scope. He is a partner in the firm's general business division. Mr. Selle chairs the firm's privately-held business group and the firm's strategic alliances group. He has presented seminar programs and written numerous works involving tax-exempt organizations, limited liability companies, partnerships, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and regularly attends and participates in local and national programs addressing new developments in those areas of practice.
