KELLEE P. DUNN-WALTERS is underwriting counsel and commercial manager for Chicago Title Insurance Company, covering Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. Ms. Dunn-Walters previously was in private practice and has been in the title industry for more than 20 years. She is a member of the Kansas Bar Association (member, Title Standards Committee; Real Property, Probate & Trust Section), the American Bar Association (member, Real Property, Probate & Trust Section), the American Land Title Association and the Commercial Brokers Association. Ms. Dunn-Walters also is a member of the Kansas City Commercial Real Estate Women (KC CREW). A graduate of Washburn University of Topeka, she earned her J.D. degree from the University of Kansas School of Law. (Overland Park and Topeka locations) CHARLES T. ENGEL is a partner in the Topeka law firm of Engel Law, P.A. and practices in the areas of bankruptcy reorganizations, divorce, real estate, commercial law, civil litigation and lobbying. He earned his law degree, with honors, from Washburn University. Mr. Engel wrote "Personal Liability of Nonprofit Directors," 60 JBAK 1991, and has written the Commercial and Banking Chapter in the Kansas Bar Association's Annual Survey of Law from 1991 to 2006. He also has written the Banking, Commercial and Contract Section of the Kansas Bar Associations' Annual Survey, 1990 and the Non-Profit Chapter in the Kansas Corporation Handbook. JACQUES is an attorney with Sloan, Eisenbarth, Glassman, McEntire & Jarboe L.L.C., where he specialized in transactional, tax, and estate matters. He earned his B.A. degree from Saint Michael's College and his J.D. degree, Dean's Honors, from Washburn University School of Law. Mr. Jacques brings a wealth of tax knowledge to the firm's individual and corporate clients, and became one of two attorneys at Sloan, Eisenbarth, Glassman, McEntire & Jarboe L.L.C. to have earned an L.L.M. degree when he completed his additional degree at the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 2000. He is a member of the Topeka Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Topeka West Rotary Club. Mr. Jacques is an active member of the legal and Topeka community. PHARES is a underwriting counsel for First American Title Insurance Company's National Commercial Services office in Overland Park, Kansas. He is responsible for underwriting, closing and related title insurance matters for commercial real estate transactions in the Kansas City area and throughout the country. Mr. Phares began his real estate career during law school with a Minneapolis law firm. His background has given him the opportunity to experience the claims perspective of title insurance and real estate closings, and also to understand customers' closing needs and expectations. Mr. Phares has handled a wide variety of complex title issues such as multi-site wind turbine projects throughout the Midwest and lender work-out transactions for troubled loans and properties. He is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association's YLS Public Service Committee. Mr. Phares is a licensed attorney in Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. He earned his J.D. degree from William Mitchell College of Law and his B.A. degree from Lake Forest College. (Overland Park location) ROBERTA L. WILKES is a partner in the law firm of Wilkes & Dunn, where she practices in the areas of probate, estate planning, real estate, small business and nonprofit organizations. Ms. Wilkes earned her B.A. degree from Wichita State University and her J.D. degree, with distinction, from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and is licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Oklahoma. She taught legal professionals for more than 20 years at both Johnson County Community College and Kansas City Kansas Community College. Ms. Wilkes has spoken at seminars for lawyers, primarily in the field of estate planning and probate.
