MATT BARBERICH is a consulting manager of MarksNelson Vohland Campbell Radetic LLC. The vast majority of his time is devoted to business valuations, forensic accounting and litigation support services. In Mr. Barberich's time at MarksNelson Vohland Campbell Radetic LLC, he has been involved in more than 200 business valuations of closely-held companies in a wide-variety of industries. In addition, he has been involved in more than 25 forensic accounting and/or litigation support matters. Mr. Barberich has been designated as an expert witness in several litigated matters and has previously provided grand jury testimony as an expert witness (his testimony is currently under court seal). He earned his CPA certificate from the state of Kansas and the state of Missouri. Mr. Barberich earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and his Master of Business Administration from Pittsburgh State University. He was a KSCPA gold key winner on the uniform CPA examination in the state of Kansas. Mr. Barberich has been designated as a Certified Internal Auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditors; a Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners; Certified in Financial Forensics and Accredited in Business Valuation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; and an Accredited Member in the business valuation specialty from the American Society of Appraisers. STEVEN F. CARMAN is an attorney with the law firm Husch Blackwell, where he applies his Wharton M.B.A. to deliver strategic advice to boards of directors and senior executives of publicly traded operating companies and investment management firms. He has structured mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and venture capital transactions in excess of $5 billion. Mr. Carman has served clients in financial services, transportation and manufacturing, and has represented several early stage technology-focused companies on matters ranging from incentive compensation structures to technology licensing agreements. He has led numerous debt and equity offerings for investment companies and unregistered investment funds; numerous public offerings of debt, equity, and rights to acquire equity, including several IPOs; and several private placements of securities. Mr. Carman has also advised and assisted in numerous venture capital investments, representing recipient companies and venture investors. His capital market and corporate governance guidance is sought by boards of directors; independent directors; and special committees of public companies, investment advisors and fund managers. Mr. Carman is a member of The Missouri Bar. MARK A. OLTHOFF is a shareholder in the Kansas City law firm of Polsinelli Shughart PC, where he practices in the areas of complex litigation and class actions, financial, business, and commercial litigation. Mr. Olthoff is a member of the Missouri Supreme Court Disciplinary Committee (Region IV). He also has written numerous articles and spoken on various topics concerning business torts, discovery, trial and motion practice. Mr. Olthoff earned his B.B.A. degree from Iowa State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Iowa. He is a member of The Missouri Bar and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. RICHARD H. ONG is a CPA with Ong & Company. Mr. Ong graduated, with honors, from the University of Notre Dame in 1977, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. After joining the international accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), he successfully completed the certified public accountant examination in 1977. He now holds current permits to practice in the states of Kansas and Missouri. Mr. Ong struck out on his own in 1982 and his private practice has grown to include over 1,000 individuals and businesses concentrated primarily in the greater Kansas City area. He maintains primary client contact responsibility for each and every client to maintain the high quality standards of the firm.
