JOHNSON is a partner practicing in the financial services group of Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP in Kansas City, Missouri. His practice involves representation of debtors, creditors, committees, trustees and other interested parties in bankruptcy, workout and collection matters. Mr. Johnson received his bachelor's degree, with highest honors, from the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls, and his law degree, with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas, as well as the Federal District Courts in Kansas, Nebraska, and the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri. Mr. Johnson is a member of the American, Kansas and Kansas City Bankruptcy bar associations, The Missouri Bar and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Johnson also serves as a member of the Midwestern Bankruptcy Institute's Advisory Board. BRANDY L. SUTTON is an attorney and managing partner of the law firm Pendleton & Sutton Attorneys at Law, LLC where she practices primarily in the areas of creditors' rights, commercial and retail collections, litigation, landlord-tenant law, mechanics' liens and homeowners' association representation. With more than 20 years of experience in the collections industry, Ms. Sutton represents commercial and retail creditors in all facets of debt collection. She has received HIPAA attorney certification from ACA International. Ms. Sutton is an active member of the leading creditors' rights industry organizations, including the Kansas Credit Attorneys Association (former president), National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA), ACA International, as well as the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA). She is a member of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) - Lawrence Express Network, the Kansas Women Attorneys Association and the Douglas County Women Attorneys Association. Ms. Sutton is a frequent speaker on landlord-tenant topics, focusing on collections, landlord's rights and rental licensing. She is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Kansas and Missouri as well as the U.S. Districts Courts of Kansas and the Western District of Missouri. She is a member of the Kansas and Douglas County bar associations and the Missouri Bar.
