August 2 - Indianapolis CHRIS BARROWS is an attorney with the law firm of Avery & Cheerva LLP, where he practices in the area of family law. He has been a registered family law mediator since 2004 and a certified family law specialist since 2005. He co-wrote the "Indiana Parenting Coordination Guide," Families Moving Forward, Inc.; and wrote "Effective Use of Experts in Child Custody Disputes," ICLEF, among other CLE materials. Mr. Barrows previously has spoken for ICLEF, the Indianapolis Bar Association, and for National Business Institute seminars. Mr. Barrows has served on the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) task force for court-involved therapists responsible for providing guidelines on the role of therapists involved in family law matters. Mr. Barrows also has testified in front of Indiana legislative committees on the subjects of parent coordination and joint legal custody in paternity cases. He is a founding member and current board member for seminars for Advanced Interdisciplinary Family Professionals. CARL J. BECKER is a shareholder in the law firm of Newton Becker Bouwkamp Pendoski, PC, where he practices in the areas of family law, business litigation, consumer finance and general commercial advice. He has previously lectured for National Business Institute on the issues of child custody and family law. Mr. Becker also frequently lectures on issues impacting manufactured housing communities. His community activities include serving as chairperson of the Board of Directors for Legacy House, past president of the Board of the Directors of The Children's Theatre Institute and a board member of Concord Community Development Corporation. HARMON is a partner in the Indianapolis law firm of Mallor Grodner, where she concentrates her practice in the area of family law. Ms. Harmon is a certified family law specialist. She represents clients at the state and appellate court levels, and focuses her practice on adoption, child support and custody, divorce, guardianships, paternity actions, family law appeals, and protective orders. August 17 - Fort Wayne MEGAN BURZYCH is an attorney at the law firm of Tourkow Crell Rosenblatt & Johnston, where her primary area of practice is family law. Ms. Burzych is trained in collaborative divorce. Her areas of practice include domestic relations, family law, dissolution of marriage, custody disputes, premarital and postnuptial agreements, child support modifications, and parenting time.
