ANGELA M. AGUSTIN is an attorney with the firm Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman, P.C., where she practices in litigation and risk management. KEITH F. MEDVED is an attorney at Medved & Wruck Attorneys at Law, where he has more than 30 years of experience as a trial attorney and has particular experience litigating catastrophic/severe injury cases and has concentrated his practice in the last decade in nursing home negligence cases. Mr. Medved serves as a public defender in the Lake Superior Court, Criminal Division and is a former public defender in the Lake Superior Court, Juvenile Division. He completed his undergraduate studies at Purdue University and earned his J.D. degree from John Marshall School of Law. JEFF POWLESS is a nursing home lawyer at The Powless Law Firm. He has successfully represented ordinary citizens against powerful insurance companies and corporations for more than a decade. Mr. Powless has held nursing homes responsible for various types of neglect/abuse, including but not limited to those involving: failures to properly prevent pressure sores, failures to take adequate fall prevention measures, failures to protect patients from physical assault, failure to properly care for a patient's catheter, among many others. WRUCK III is the founding member of Wruck Paupore LLC, a civil litigation firm with offices in Dyer, Indiana, Chicago, Illinois, and Troy, Michigan. A graduate of the economics program at Carthage College, and Valparaiso University School of Law, Mr. Wruck has been in private practice since earning his J.D. degree in 1999. In 2000, he teamed with attorney Keith F. Medved to concentrate on litigating cases of nursing home abuse, injury and neglect. He routinely lectures on nursing home abuse litigation to attorneys, law students and health care professionals. Outside of his practice, Mr. Wruck serves on the faculty of Valparaiso University where, since 1998, he has regularly instructed a variety of law courses. In 2007, his courtroom advocacy was featured before a world-wide audience on the television series MTV Juvies, filmed on location in the Lake County, Indiana, Superior Court.
