SHOKRINA RADPOUR BEERING is managing partner with Plunkett Cooney, P.C. Ms. Beering focuses her practice in the areas of banking law, lending, business and real estate law. With more than nine years of previous experience as in-house counsel for a national bank, she has extensive experience representing financial institutions in matters involving commercial lending, commercial real estate and general business law. Ms. Beering also serves as general counsel for clients. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association (Business Law Section), Indiana State Bar Association (Business Law, Business Law Section, and Probate, Trust & Real Property sections), American Bar Association (Business Law Section) and American College of Mortgage Attorneys. DAVID FOSTER is a partner in the Indianapolis law firm of Baker & Daniels LLP, where his practice is focused on the negotiation and documentation of commercial transactions, bankruptcy, workouts and creditors' rights, UCC issues and general corporate and business matters. Mr. Foster speaks frequently to various professional groups on his areas of practice. He is a member of the Indiana State (Business and Bankruptcy/Creditors' Rights sections) and American (Business Law Section) bar associations and the State Bar of Michigan (Creditors' Rights Committee, Business Law Section). Mr. Foster earned his B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law. JOHN R. HUMPHREY is a partner in the law firm of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, where his practice areas include bankruptcy, business restructuring and creditor rights. Mr. Humphrey represents secured lenders, trade creditors, landlords and others in out-of-court restructurings, collection and bankruptcies, and assists buyers and sellers of distressed businesses. He also consults with business and individual debtors to help resolve financial problems with negotiation, out-of-court work-outs and bankruptcy. Mr. Humphrey has represented numerous clients in significant bankruptcy litigation matters including multi-million dollar preference and fraudulent transfer cases. He is a member of the board of directors for the Indiana Association for Corporate Renewal, an association of lenders, accountants, attorneys and other professionals concerned with effective turnaround management in Indiana. Mr. Humphrey also is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, American, Indiana State and Indianapolis bar associations, and the Indiana CPA Society. He is a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy and out-of-court restructuring matters at continuing education seminars. Mr. Humphrey is a certified public accountant, and was in private practice in the areas of business consulting and taxation prior to his becoming an attorney. He earned his B.S. degree from Indiana University, his M.B.S. degree from Texas A&M University and his J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis.
