SCOTT A. BENKIE is a partner in the Indianapolis law firm of Benkie & Crawford, where he practices in the areas of commercial litigation and personal injury, including wrongful death and medical malpractice. He has written several articles for the Indiana Lawyer, the Verdict and Res Gestae on the issue of punitive damages for wrongful death, including "The Paradox of Punitive Damages in Wrongful Death" and "Punitive Damage Paradox Resolved?" and he has lectured on similar topics. Mr. Benkie is a frequent speaker for National Business Institute. He earned his B.A. degree from Hanover College and his J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis. He is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State bar associations, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Benkie is an AV rated attorney in Martindale-Hubbell. THOMAS J. JARZYNIECKI JR. is a partner in the law firm of Kightlinger & Gray, LLP, where he practices in the areas of fire subrogation, products liability law, general trial practice and domestic relations. He is the author of "42 Things You Need to Know about Insurance Law" for the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum; "What's Mine is Yours," for an ICLEF subrogation law seminar; and "How to Become an Expert on Experts," for the National Subrogation Pro Indiana Chapter. Mr. Jarzyniecki is a frequent lecturer and has spoken at many seminars, including "Fire Litigation," for an ICLEF subrogation law seminar; and "Defense Seminar Case Law Update," "Defense Seminar on Tripartite Relationships," and "Defense Seminar on Product Liability" for the Insurance Institute of Indiana. Mr. Jarzyniecki earned his B.A. degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo and his J.D. degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. He is admitted to the Indiana and Illinois bars, and also is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern districts of Indiana. JENNIFER M. LUTE COSTELLA started her legal career as in-house counsel focused on insurance defense, including coverage disputes, fraud and automobile liability. Ms. Lute Costella then joined a multi-state law firm in northwest Indiana and now practices with the law firm of Metzger Rosta LLP, based in Noblesville, Indiana. Her litigation practice is concentrated in the areas of insurance and self-insured corporation defense, including contractual, automobile, trucking, products and premises liability, as well as restaurant liability. She has tried cases to juries and the bench in many counties throughout the state of Indiana. Ms. Lute Costella is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana, and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern districts of Indiana. She earned her J.D. degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in Valparaiso, Indiana, and her Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree from Purdue University. MARK A. METZGER is a partner in the Indianapolis firm of Metzger Rosta LLP, where he practices in the areas of insurance defense, litigation and personal injury. He has been a guest lecturer at numerous seminars with regard to his practice. Mr. Metzger also is an adjunct professor at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis. He is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State and American (member, Insurance Law and Litigation sections) bar associations, the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Metzger earned his B.S. degree, with distinction, his M.P.A. degree and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law. KIMBERLY A. SHRIVER is an attorney with the firm of Metzger Rosta LLP. Ms. Shriver earned her J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law after obtaining her B.A. degree in advertising and marketing from Purdue University. While in law school, she gained valuable legal experience working in the field of insurance defense at Gaston Cavanagh & Hamilton, and in the trust and estate division of National City Bank. After graduation from law school, Ms. Shriver worked as a deputy prosecutor in Allen County for three and a half years, where she prosecuted child support offenders as well as misdemeanor and felony crimes. She focused her practice on prosecuting sex offenders and was a member of an elite team of prosecutors who worked closely with the Child Advocacy Center to respond to acute sex crimes against children. After leaving the prosecutor's office, Ms. Shriver relocated to Fisher, Indiana, and continued her practice in civil litigation in the law firm of Kopka Pinkus Dolin & Eads, working in the field of insurance defense. Ms. Shriver is admitted to practice law in Indiana and before the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern districts of Indiana.
