CATHY D. CANNY is a senior paralegal in the law firm of Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff, LLP, in their Indianapolis office. Ms. Canny has been a paralegal for more than 30 years, primarily in the areas of litigation and bankruptcy. Ms. Canny earned her B.A. degree in paralegal studies from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She is a past president of the Indiana Paralegal Association, having also served as its secretary, marketing director and primary representative to the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. She also serves on the Regulation Committee of the IPA. Ms. Canny is secretary of the Legal Ethics Committee of the Indiana State Bar Association and previously served as vice chair of its Affiliate Membership Committee. She is a past chair of the Paralegal Committee of the Indianapolis Bar Association, having served on its Professional Responsibility Committee. Ms. Canny is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, Indiana Paralegal Association, and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. She has lectured on leadership, technology, litigation, regulation, and other issues relating to the paralegal profession for a number of years. She was the recipient of the Paralegal of the Year award from the Indianapolis Bar Association in 2003 and in 2005. In 2010 Ms. Canny was named an associate fellow of the Indianapolis Bar NINA CASSIDY is a senior paralegal at OrthoIndy in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ms. Cassidy specializes in the areas of civil litigation health practice management. She assists malpractice and outside attorneys in phases of bankruptcy, small claims and malpractice cases. Ms Cassidy conducts legal and factual research and client interviews. She prepares deposition schedules and summaries. Ms. Cassidy coordinates and manages document production, assists lawyers at trial, gathers and reviews medical record and handles all aspects of the case from the initial client contact to trial preparation and participation. She earned her paralegal certificate from the National Institute Paralegal Science/Kaplan University. Ms. Cassidy is a member of the AHIMA, IPA, International Paralegal Honor Society, Delta Epsilon Tau. PAMELA J. HEATH is a litigation paralegal with Craig, Kelley & Faultess. Ms. Heath conducts medical research, legal, and factual research; and investigates the allegations raised in litigation. She prepares pleadings, memoranda, briefs, witness and exhibits lists, trial notebooks, demand and settlement documents, deposition outlines and summaries. Ms. Heath coordinates and manages document production, locates and interviews witnesses, organizes pleadings and trial exhibits, gathers, reviews, analyzes, and summarizes medical records. She enjoys the forensic analysis of discovery information. Ms. Heath is a paralegal member of the Indianapolis Bar Association. She earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, and M.A. degree from the University of Indianapolis. BETTY JO MOULTON is the senior paralegal at the law firm of Noel Law in Kokomo, Indiana, having worked in the legal field for more than 20 years. Ms. Moulton has handled all aspects of complex litigation cases and is currently focused on the areas of insurance defense and appellate procedures. She also has extensive experience in probate, from initial client contact to inheritance tax returns and final accountings. Ms. Moulton has served as an adjunct faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College where she taught in the paralegal studies program. She also serves on the advisory board for the paralegal studies and office administration programs at Ivy Tech Community College. Ms. Moulton is a member of the Indiana Paralegal Association and earned her A.A.S. degree from Ivy Tech and her paralegal certification from Indiana University Kokomo.
