JENNIFER R. FITZWATER is a partner at the law firm of Mercer Belanger. Ms. Fitzwater has experience in a wide array of areas, including extensive experience with creditors' rights, contract formation, business agreements, real estate and wills. She entered law school with the intent to focus on banking law after having three years of experience in the retail banking industry in various management positions. She continues to use her experience in banking law matters with the firm and has gained extensive experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, real estate and banking law since 1995. Ms. Fitzwater has been with the firm since 2000 and has handled numerous contested foreclosures. She has skillfully represented creditors in bankruptcy court and litigated on their behalf. She earned her B.A. degree at Indiana University, Bloomington, and her J.D. degree at the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. Ms. Fitzwater is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association (Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Division), the Indianapolis Bar Association, the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association, the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys and the IWIRC International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation. JENNIFER D. McNAIR is a partner with the Indianapolis law firm of Mercer Belanger. She has extensive experience in the area of creditors' rights. She maintains a broad general practice, but continues to concentrate in the areas of real estate and commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on creditors' rights, including residential mortgage foreclosures and bankruptcy. Ms. McNair received her B.S. degree from the University of Michigan and her J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Indiana as well as before the Indiana Supreme Court and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern districts of Indiana. Ms. McNair is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association (member, Commercial and Bankruptcy Law Section, Young Lawyers Division, Women and the Law Division, Liaison with Law Schools Committee), the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association and the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys. JERLYN S. SOUTHWICK is an attorney with the Indianapolis law firm of Feiwell & Hannoy, P.C. She has extensive experience in the areas of bankruptcy, real estate and foreclosure. Ms. Southwick is the past president of the Indiana Creditors Bar Association. Prior to entering private practice, she was a deputy attorney general for the State of Indiana where she worked in consumer rights, real estate litigation and collection law. Ms. Southwick has lectured for business professional groups and the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum on foreclosure and bankruptcy. She is a member of the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Section of the Indianapolis and Indiana State bar associations. Ms. Southwick earned her B.A. and B.S. degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington, and her J.D. degree from Indiana University, Indianapolis. JAMES T. YOUNG is a partner with the Indianapolis law firm of Rubin & Levin, P.C., where he practices in the areas of creditors' rights, bankruptcy, commercial litigation, corporate, business planning, real estate, intellectual property, and landlord and tenant law. He served as law clerk to the Honorable John W. Montgomery, circuit court judge, St. Joseph County, Indiana. Mr. Young has spoken previously for National Business Institute and the Institute for Paralegal Education on landlord/tenant, real estate and trademark issues. He was chair of the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Section of the Allen County Bar Association from 2000 through 2002. Mr. Young has served periodically as a guest lecturer at the Indiana University School of Informatics in Indianapolis, Indiana. His prior presentations, publications and CLE faculty topics have included "Selected Issues Concerning Appraisers and Auctioneers in Bankruptcy Cases, the Bulk Sales Act and Valuation" and "My Client Filed Bankruptcy, Now What Do I Do?" for the Allen County Bar Association; "Business Bankruptcy Changes to the Bankruptcy Code" and "Defending Avoidance Actions" for the Indiana Institute of Credit; "Annual Bankruptcy Institute" for the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum; and "Navigating the Paperless Court in Indiana," "Aligning Your Practice With the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005," "Trademark and Intellectual Property Administration for the Corporate IP Paralegal/Administrator," "An Advanced Look at Indiana Real Estate Law," "Evictions and Landlord/Tenant Law in Indiana" and "Fundamentals of Bankruptcy Law" for National Business Institute and its related companies. Mr. Young earned his B.S., M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington.
