SARA A. HOOK is professor of informatics at Indiana University School of Informatics, IUPUI, where she has developed a suite of courses in the emerging field of legal informatics. Ms. Hook also is an adjunct professor of law at the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, where she teaches courses in intellectual property law and professional responsibility. Formerly, she was Associate Dean of the Faculties for IUPUI and head librarian at the IU School of Dentistry. Ms. Hook earned her B.A. and M.L.S. degrees from the University of Michigan, her M.B.A. degree from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, and her J.D. degree from the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. She was admitted to the Indiana State Bar Association in 1994. During law school, Ms. Hook was executive notes editor of the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review, co-chair of the Dean's Tutorial Society, and finished second in the Client Counseling Competition. Ms. Hook's research interests include intellectual property law, the emerging field of legal informatics and ways to enhance creativity in teaching and learning. She is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), the Indiana State Bar Association, the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) and the American Association for State and Local History (AASLH). Ms. Hook regularly publishes and gives presentations on intellectual property law, electronic discovery, legal technology, legal research techniques and issues related to privacy and security. ELIZABETH LALLY is an associate at Rubin & Levin, P.C., located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ms. Lally represents Chapter 7 Trustees in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Her work focuses largely on complex bankruptcy litigation and fraudulent transfer litigation. Prior to joining Rubin & Levin, P.C., Ms. Lally worked in Chicago, Illinois as outside counsel for some of the United States' largest corporations, focusing her practice on complex tort litigation. Her work has consistently focused on advising clients as to the preservation, collection, and production of electronically stored information ("ESI"); compliance with Federal and state laws of civil procedure and evidence concerning ESI; and the creation of litigation support databases using various e-discovery software platforms. Ms. Lally is licensed to practice in the state of Illinois and Indiana, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. She earned her B.A. degree from Bradley University and her J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law. NATHANIEL M. UHL is an attorney with Ice Miller LLP, in the firm's Business Litigation Group. Mr.Uhl practices primarily in the areas of construction litigation, construction contracting and commercial litigation. He has experience in the core areas of construction law, including mediating and litigating construction defect claims and representing owners and contractors in mechanic's lien disputes. In addition, he helps clients apply evolving areas of the law to construction projects, including preserving electronic documents, producing online project management databases and managing massive document reviews and productions. He has been involved in a variety of cases, including disputes regarding roofing materials, wood preservatives, concrete, reinforcing steel, subsidence and mold. Uhl also has experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts for owners, construction managers, general contractors and subcontractors. Mr. Uhl has litigated a number of commercial disputes. These matters include disagreements involving Uniform Commercial Code and disputes over the meaning of contracts and licensing agreements. He also has experience litigating product liability cases. Mr. Uhl earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Hanover College, where he received the Distinguished Award for Political Science. While an undergraduate, he studied at the Engalitcheff Institute on comparative economic and political systems at Georgetown University. He earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington, where he served on the Moot Court Board and as a managing editor for the Indiana Journal for Global Legal Studies. He is admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana, the Commonwealth of Kentucky and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana. Mr. Uhl is a member of the American (Forum on the Construction Industry), Indiana State (Construction and Surety Law Section), Kentucky and Indianapolis bar associations.
