CHRIS BARROWS is an attorney with the law firm of Avery & Cheerva LLP, where he practices in the area of family law. He has been a registered family law mediator since 2004 and a certified family law specialist since 2005. Mr. Barrows co-wrote the Indiana Parenting Coordination Guide, Families Moving Forward, Inc., and wrote Effective Use of Experts in Child Custody Disputes, ICLEF, among other CLE materials. He previously has spoken for ICLEF, the Indianapolis Bar Association and for National Business Institute seminars. Mr. Barrows has served on the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) task force for court-involved therapists charged with providing guidelines on the role of therapists involved in family law matters. ANDREW R. BLOCH is an attorney with Beasley & Gilkison LLP, where he devotes 100% of his practice to litigation. He is a former commissioner of the Marion Circuit Court - Paternity Division where he served for approximately three and a half years. Mr. Bloch earned his B.S.B.A. degree from Xavier University and his J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law. He is a member of the Indiana State and Indianapolis bar associations. Additionally, Mr. Bloch has been a member of the Xavier University Mentoring Program since 2009 and a board member of Reach for Youth, Inc. since 2006. JONATHAN R. MAGUIRE is an attorney with Parker & Maguire Law Firm, P.C., where she is a family law attorney and mediator. She has been practicing family law and mediation since 2007. Prior to that, Ms. Maguire practiced for five years in employment, labor and corporate law. She also served as in-house counsel for two businesses that she helped start. Ms. Maguire is on a panel of mediators for the Indiana Department of Education and for the Marion County Family Court Project. She served on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Association of Mediators. Ms. Maguire earned her B.A. degree from Quincy University and her J.D. degree from Indiana University. WILLIAM F. MURPHY is the owner of Murphy Financial Group, P.C. The firm emphasizes in providing tax consulting and financial planning services to corporations and professional practices in the State of Indiana. He also provides consultation services on tax and financial planning issues to various news and publishing organizations on current tax law changes occurring within federal and state government. Mr. Murphy is also associated with the law firm of Mallor Grodner LLP. The firm has offices located in both Indianapolis and Bloomington, Indiana. He assists in providing tax, valuation and financial analysis services focusing in the areas of family law and business transactions. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Mr. Murphy holds the accreditation in business valuations as an Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV). While at Murphy & Company, P.C., he was director of Entrepreneurial and Tax Services and was the firm's majority shareholder. The firm specialized in taxation, business valuations and small business development. Prior to establishing his own firm in 1982, Mr. Murphy worked with both local and national CPA firms. Mr. Murphy is also a former director with the Indiana Attorney General's Office while attending Indiana University law school. Mr. Murphy graduated from Butler University with honors in 1973 and was admitted to practice as a certified public accountant in the state of Indiana on December 7, 1977. He now serves on the Board of Visitors for Butler University School of Business. JAMES E. ROSSOW JR. is a partner with Rubin & Levin, P.C., in Indianapolis, Indiana. His practice focuses on bankruptcy, debtor and creditor rights, and commercial law. Mr. Rossow frequently writes and lectures on topics related to bankruptcy and commercial law. THOMPSON is an attorney with Thompson Law Office, LLC. He has experience in business law; estate planning; creditor and debtor law; real estate; civil trials; taxation; criminal defense; appeals; and all areas of family law, including adoptions, divorce, child custody and support, paternity and guardianship. Mr. Thompson taught as an adjunct professor of Business Law for Indiana Wesleyan University from 1992-1995.
