KEVIN C. KAUFHOLD is the principal of Kaufhold & Associates, P.C., in Belleville. Mr. Kaufhold maintains a general practice with a concentration in labor law, pensions, municipal law, personal injury and workers’ compensation. He has been certified as an expert witness in labor law matters and has litigated precedent setting cases in handicap discrimination, retaliatory discharge, union representation issues, and other employment-related matters. Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, Mr. Kaufhold also has litigated in the federal trial courts, the Illinois Appellate and Supreme courts, and many federal and state administrative agencies. He is a member of the Illinois State and St. Clair County bar associations, and has been active in the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Mr. Kaufhold is a past chair of the Labor Law Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Associations. He earned his B.A. degree from Southern Illinois University and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University. DOUGLAS R. MENDENHALL is a partner in the Alton law firm of Smith, Mendenhall, Selby & Cole. Mr. Mendenhall has been an attorney for more than 31 years and focuses his practice on the representation of petitioners in workers' compensation cases and plaintiffs in personal injury matters. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. Mr. Mendenhall earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Illinois. JAMES A. TELTHORST oversees the Workers' Compensation Practice Group in the Edwardsville office of Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C. Mr. Telthorst focuses his practice on the representation of employers, self-insureds and insurance carriers in workers' compensation matters in both southern Illinois and eastern Missouri. He has arbitrated cases on behalf of employers before both the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission and the Missouri Division of Workers' Compensation. Mr. Telthorst is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis; The Missouri Bar; and the Madison County, Illinois State and American bar associations. He earned his B.S. degree from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and his J.D. degree from St. Louis University.
