JOHN COLLEN is a partner with Tressler LLP. He has devoted the last 30 years exclusively to practicing in the insolvency, bankruptcy and creditor's rights field, including extensive experience with foreclosures, work-outs and bankruptcies both on behalf of lenders and borrowers. Mr. Collen is a member of the American College of Bankruptcy and an adjunct law professor in the St. John's University Law School Bankruptcy LL.M. program in New York. He holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating and is included in Illinois Super Lawyers. Mr. Collen is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. FRANCIS L. KELDERMANS is a partner at Holland & Knight LLP. He practices in the areas of commercial finance and real estate, with a heavy emphasis in representing lenders in workouts and foreclosures. Mr. Keldermans leads the firm's Chicago team in the prosecution of foreclosures, bankruptcy claims and UCC sales on behalf of secured lenders. He also has significant experience representing lenders with respect to acquisition, construction (including condominium and mixed use projects), and long term lending. In addition, Mr. Keldermans advises clients on the purchase and sale of loan portfolios. He is a fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. Mr. Keldermans previously served on the Board of Directors and chaired the Legislative Committee of the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association. He also served on the Legal Issues Committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. In 1987, Mr. Keldermans served as a member of the Illinois Commissioner of Office of Banks and Real Estate Licensing Act Advisory Board. He is a member of the Illinois State, American, and Chicago bar associations. Mr. Keldermans is admitted to practice in Illinois. He earned his undergraduate and J.D. degrees from Loyola University of Chicago. DOUGLAS A. OLIVER is a senior associate with the law firm of Freedman, Anselmo & Lindberg LLC, which is located in Naperville, Illinois. His practice covers the state of Illinois and includes mortgage foreclosure, collections and real estate law. Mr. Oliver, an experienced trial lawyer, focuses mainly on contested foreclosure and collection matters. He has previously lectured for National Business Institute on foreclosure matters. Mr. Oliver earned his B.A. degree from the University of Iowa and his J.D. degree, with honors, from Drake Law School. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Illinois. KAREN A. WHITE is a partner with SmithAmundsen, where she is part of the firm's commercial and banking litigation, finance and corporate lending, and banking operation practice groups. She focuses her practice in creditors' rights, in the area of commercial litigation, banking, bankruptcy and real estate law. Ms. White represents financial institutions and businesses, and works with owners and senior management to formulate and implement strategies to meet their legal needs. She has extensive experience in secured transactions; creditors' rights; collections; bankruptcy; negotiating and drafting contracts, including promissory notes; mortgages; security agreements; purchase and sale agreements; workout agreements; real estate transactions; and enforcing leasehold rights in personal and real property. A seasoned litigator, Ms. White represents clients at the state, appellate, and federal court level. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Ms. White is a member of the Chicago, Illinois State, DuPage County, and American bar associations. She earned her B.A. degree from Saint Mary's College of Notre Dame and her J.D. degree from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law.
