MARCIE E. GOLDBLOOM is a partner with Daley, DeBofsky & Bryant. Ms. Goldbloom covers 25 different jurisdictions. She has spoken on attorney fees and equal access to justice Act 28 U.S. c. Section 2412, Social Securities evaluation of obesity as it pertains to disability cases and disability claims procedures from start to finish. Ms. Goldbloom also spoke for the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives and the Chicago Area Multiple Sclerosis Society on all aspects of Social Security disability and introduction to issues arising in ERISA law, and she also has lectured on Social Security for the Chicago Bar Association. She is a member of the Chicago Bar and was chair of its Social Security committee from 1995 to 1996. Ms. Goldbloom is admitted to practice in Illinois, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals, 7th and 6th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court and a variety of other district court jurisdictions. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and her J.D. degree from Gonzaga University. DEBORAH SPECTOR is a partner in the Chicago law firm of Spector & Lenz, P.C., where she practices in the area of social security disability. She earned her B.A. degree from Stanford University and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law. Ms. Spector has lectured frequently on her area of practice. TOM YATES has been with Health & Disability Advocates since 1996, and is responsible for policy analysis, advocacy, and legal representation on health care and Social Security benefits for children and adults with disabilities, and elders with limited incomes. He provides individual representation, class action litigation, and administrative and legislative advocacy in the areas of Social Security, Medicaid, and state-funded assistance programs. Mr. Yates has published and spoken extensively on each of these areas. He worked for a private law firm in Chicago representing individuals on Social Security disability claims, and he worked for over a decade as a legal services attorney for the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago and Northeast Kentucky Legal Services. Mr. Yates has a law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law and a Bachelor of Special Studies from Cornell College.
