BRADFORD E. BLOCK is the principal of the Law Offices of Bradford E. Block in Northbrook. He has been an attorney for more than 30 years and practices in the areas of business formation, mergers and acquisitions, not-for-profit organizations, private foundations, equity financing; tax law; and the preparation and negotiation of corporate and technology contracts. Mr. Block has lectured to various professional groups on matters related to limited liability companies, partnerships and S corporations. He is a former adjunct professor of business planning and partnership law at DePaul University. Mr. Block also is a commercial mediator and a member of the Association of Attorney Mediators. He earned his B.S. degree from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law. MITCHELL S. CHABAN is an attorney with the law firm of Levin Ginsburg, where he practices in the areas of commercial litigation and dispute resolution, employment and benefits, landlord and tenant disputes, corporate and partnership disputes, and business law. He is admitted to practice in Illinois, the Illinois and U.S. District Court, and the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Chaban earned his B.S. degree from Northern Illinois University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from John Marshall Law School. He is a member of the Illinois State and Chicago bar associations. KENNETH W. CLINGEN is the managing partner with the Wheaton law firm of Clingen Callow & McLean, LLC, and chairs the firm's business counseling department. He is general counsel to a number of privately owned businesses across a variety of industries. Mr. Clingen also represents high net worth individuals and family offices. He communicates on a day to day basis with his client's key decision makers. Mr. Clingen assists them in starting new business ventures, operating their ongoing business enterprises and preparing business succession plans for business owners. He uses his accounting and finance background to properly balance business and legal considerations in his client representations. Mr. Clingen is a member of the DuPage County and American bar associations (Taxation Section, Business Law Section, Law Practice Management Section). He has spoken and written on his practice areas. Mr. Clingen earned his B.B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. degree from Notre Dame Law School. He also is a certified public accountant. RICHARD M. COLOMBIK is a principal in the law firm of Richard M. Colombik & Associates, P.C. His practice includes income taxation, IRS representation, estate plans and business planning. Mr. Colombik also is a licensed certified public accountant. He is a frequent lecturer and has written numerous articles on estate and income taxes, published a chapter in the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education's Estate Planning Short Course, and has appeared in the Chicago Sun Times and the Chicago Tribune as a financial expert. Mr. Colombik was recently quoted in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal regarding a recent case against the IRS in federal court. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Colorado and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the John Marshall Law School. Mr. Colombik is the former chairman of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association's Estate, Probate and Taxation Committee, and the former chairman of the Illinois State Bar Association's Section Council on Taxation. He is currently on the Liaison Committee to the Washington, D.C. office of the Internal Revenue Service, and is a member of the Asset Protection Committee, the American Bar Association, and the Offshore Institute.
