MELISSA ENGELSON D.C. is a chiropractic sports and rehabilitation resident and concurrently enrolled in the Master's Degree program in Sports Science & Rehabilitation at Logan College of Chiropractic. Prior to her residency, she graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 2007. She was a certified first responder and in private practice in Minnesota for three years. She is currently licensed in Missouri and Minnesota. JAMES R. GARRISON is an attorney with the law firm of Boyle Brasher LLC, with more than 25 years experience. His practice areas include, but are not are limited to, civil practice, personal injury, insurance defense, products liability, class actions, and health care. Mr. Garrison earned his B.S. degree from the University of Illinois and his J.D. degree from the University of Illinois College of Law. He is a member of the St. Clair County and Illinois State bar associations, and The Missouri Bar. BRIAN MCGAUGHRAN D.C. is currently completing a Chiropractic Sports Physician Residency and Master's Degree in Sports and Rehabilitation at Logan College of Chiropractic. Prior to becoming a chiropractor, Dr. McGaughran worked as an EMT and as an athletic trainer in Texas and Virginia. He practiced chiropractic for five years in Virginia prior to beginning his residency. He holds B.S. degree in kinesiology from the College of William and Mary and a D.C. degree, with cum laude honors, from Logan College of Chiropractic. He is currently licensed in Missouri. GERALD J. WERTEL D.C. is a practicing chiropractic physician in St. Louis since 2001. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in with a second Bachelor's Degree as well as the Doctorate of Chiropractic. As a chiropractor, his main focus is on musculoskeletal injuries that do not require surgery; such as: acute and chronic back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, work injuries and motor vehicle accidents. Dr. Wertel has been on the Board of Directors of the Missouri State Chiropractor's Association for five years and has also been a contributing editor for a Chiropractic Therapy Assistant textbook. His office, South City Injury and Rehabilitation, is located on Chippewa Street in South St. Louis City.
