GARY F. GEISLER is an attorney with Geisler Law Offices and is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. He has been engaged in a trial practice, focusing in the areas of personal injury, marital cases and criminal cases. Mr. Geisler is certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He was first certified in 1987 and has been continuously certified for 24 years. Mr. Geisler is the only current attorney in Decatur certified as a civil trial advocate. He has represented a number of persons in marital cases in Macon County and surrounding counties. Mr. Geisler has represented persons in a broad array of marital cases including dissolution of marriage, annulment, child custody, child support, maintenance, removal of child from the state and modification of judgments. He has argued civil cases before the Fourth Appellate District, the Third Appellate District, the Illinois Supreme Court and the Federal Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Geisler has filed the first lawsuit in Macon County seeking compensatory wrongful death damages for the surviving partner of a civil union. He has been appointed as a Guardian ad litem in some contested child custody cases in Macon County to investigate and then report to the court on the issue of child custody. PAULETTE M. GRAY is a sole practitioner in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Her published writings include a chapter for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education titled, "2006 Supplement to Child Custody Litigation" (which she co-authored), "Ethical Issues for Family Lawyers Under the New Rules of Professional Conduct," Illinois Bar Journal (January 2010), and "Attorney Fees in Domestic Relations Cases: The 2009 Amendments to 'Leveling the Playing Field,'" for the Illinois Bar Journal (March 2010). Ms. Gray is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and currently serves as a vice-president for the Illinois Chapter. She is a member of the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association (Family Law Section), and the McHenry County Bar Association (Family Law Section). Ms. Gray was president of the McHenry County Bar Association from 2008-09, and continues to serve on its Board of Governors. She was a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Family Law Section Council from 2000-10, and served on several subcommittees throughout her tenure as a member of the council. Ms. Gray served as chair of the Family Law Section Council for the 2008-09 membership year, and previously served as the vice-chair (2007-08) and secretary (2006-07) of the Council. She has lectured on family law on numerous occasions for National Business Institute and surrounding bar associations. Ms. Gray earned her B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis and her J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School. THOMAS J. KASPER is a partner and owner with the law firm of Buxton & Kasper. His main areas of focus are family law matters, including business valuation, complex property issues, child custody and visitation matters, child support, maintenance, and orders of protection. Mr. Kasper is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is past president of the McHenry County Bar Association. Mr. Kasper's publications include "The Impact of Order of Protection Remedies on Divorce," Illinois Bar Journal (June 2008), "Obtaining and Defending Against an Order of Protection," Illinois Bar Journal (June 2005) and "Marital Property Acquired Before Marriage: 'In Contemplation of Marriage' Rule," Illinois State Bar Association Family Law Newsletter (April 2003). He has lectured on numerous family law issues for National Business Institute and the Illinois State Bar Association. Mr. Kasper earned his B.A. degree from Loyola University of Chicago and his J.D. degree from John Marshall Law School. KEVIN LINDER is the owner of Linder Law Office, LLC in Springfield, Illinois. He practices in the areas of probate, family law, bankruptcy, Social Security and tax law. Mr. Linder is a chartered financial consultant. He has lectured to various organizations on his areas of expertise. Mr. Linder earned his B.A. degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He is a member of the Illinois State, American and Sangamon County bar associations; the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys; and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants and Representatives.
