PETER G. BARTON is an attorney with the law firm Givens Pursley LLP, where his practice focuses primarily on environmental and natural resources law and on real estate transactions. His environmental career began as an undergraduate in civil and environmental engineering at Duke University. After graduating, Mr. Barton spent more than four years at a consulting civil and environmental engineering firm designing and managing complex land projects. After law school, he clerked for the Hon. Peter C. Doors, U.S. District Judge for the District of Connecticut. While at the U.S. Department of Justice, Mr. Barton drafted successful appellate briefs to multiple U.S. Courts of Appeals. He joined Givens Pursley LLP, after practicing law for several years at a large, international law firm in Washington, D.C. Mr. Barton has experience with CERCLA, NEPA, the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the Oil Pollution Act, RCRA, Indian Law, mining law and Idaho water law. He is admitted to practice in Idaho, New York and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho. Mr. Barton earned his B.SE degree from Duke University and his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School. MATTHEW T. CHRISTENSEN is an attorney in the law firm of Angstman Johnson And Associates, PLLC, where he represents clients in all aspects of business law, real estate and bankruptcy, including all aspects of litigation and transactional work. He is also an adjunct professor at Boise State University and the University of Idaho College of Law. Mr. Christensen teaches American government and international law courses at BSU, and international trade/business and real estate courses at the University of Idaho College of Law. He is an active member of the Idaho State Bar, currently serving as a member of the Advocate Editorial Advisory Board and a board member of the Business and Corporate Law Section. Mr. Christensen is also a member of the Real Property Section of the Idaho State Bar and is involved with the American Bar Association's Center for Professional Responsibility. He earned his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University, and his J.D. and LL.M. degrees from Duke University School of Law. NOAH G. HILLEN is an attorney at the law firm of Moffatt Thomas Barrett Rock & Fields, Chtd., where he represents a wide variety of clients in state and federal court involving complex lending, contract, and business disputes. Mr. Hillen specializes in bankruptcy, loan workouts, commercial litigation, lender liability defense, and agricultural lending. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field of bankruptcy. Mr. Hillen has experience representing commercial lenders, leasing companies, banks, and other financial institutions in bankruptcy and credit transactions. He has also represented clients in bankruptcy preference and avoidance actions. His commercial litigation practice involves the defense of claims involving the Uniform Commercial Code and real estate litigation. Mr. Hillen has also handled issues in agricultural lending involving loan workouts and lien priority. He graduated cum laude from the College of Idaho in 2004 and from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2007. At the University of Idaho he twice represented his school in the only national moot court competition devoted to bankruptcy law. After finishing law school, Mr. Hillen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joel D. Horton at the Idaho Supreme Court. He speaks on developments in corporate and business law for the Fourth District Bar Association, and has written several legal articles, most recently for the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Idaho State Bar. In 2008, he was appointed to serve on the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the Idaho Law Foundation. Mr. Hillen also volunteers with the Idaho State Bar. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Idaho State Bar, the American Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court No. 130. DERRICK J. O'NEILL has been in private practice in Boise, Idaho, for more than 20 years. Two years ago, Mr. O'Neill opened his own firm, O'Neill Law, PLLC, focusing on creditor's rights. He is also of counsel to Roth Crabtree Olsen, P. S. Mr. O'Neill represents clients statewide in collections, foreclosures, bankruptcies and related matters. He is an active member of the Idaho State Bar and the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section. Mr. O'Neill is currently a member of the Idaho Bankruptcy Court's Local Rules Committee. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Idaho and his J.D. degree from the University of Utah. HOLGER UHL is regional counsel for Idaho and Oregon with McCarthy Holthus, LLP, a multi-state law firm with years of experience in successfully representing financial institutions in a variety of banking law matters with a specialization of mortgages in default. He was a former partner with the law firm of Neal & Uhl, PLLC, where his main areas of practice were real estate, business law and civil litigation. Mr. Uhl earned his B.A. degree from Albertson College of Idaho and his J.D. degree from Willamette University. He is a member of the Idaho and Oregon State bars and American Bar Association . He has spoken on real estate and foreclosure matters for various professional associations. BRIAN L. WEBB is an attorney with Angstman Johnson And Associates, PLLC, where he practices in the areas of real estate litigation, real estate transactions and business transactions. Mr. Webb was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 2006 and is licensed to practice law in the state of Idaho and before the U.S. Courts, District of Idaho. He is a member of the Idaho State Bar (Real Estate and Business sections) and the Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Webb earned his B.S. degree from Derry University, his AAS degree from Rick's College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Capital University Law School. Mr. Webb also won the CALI Award for Business Associates and was a columnist for the school paper.
