KAREN DALE has devoted her entire professional career to serving seniors and their families. She has been a licensed social worker for more than 20 years. Ms. Dale worked in a skilled nursing facility in the Treasure Valley for 21 years, serving as director of social work. While there, she opened Idaho's very first specialized Alzheimer unit and functioned as the director. Ms. Dale is one of, if not the, preeminent expert on care for persons with Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of dementia in Idaho. She has been an educator to countless Alzheimer units, and has served on numerous regional and national task forces for the quality of specialized Alzheimer's programming. Ms. Dale served ten years as a board member for the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Idaho Chapter, serving 5 of those as board president. She has chaired 7 statewide education conferences on Alzheimer's Disease. For 2 years, Ms. Dale was Idaho's delegate to the National Alzheimer's Association public policy forum in Washington, D.C. She met with legislators and their staffers to appeal for the needs of Idaho citizens with Alzheimer's Disease. Ms. Dale has been a faculty speaker for the Idaho Governor's Conference on Aging, the U.S. Regional Conference on Aging, Idaho Health Care Association and the Idaho Commission on Aging. She was a board member for the Canyon County Board of Community Guardians for 8 years, working as a volunteer guardian to vulnerable adults. Ms. Dale's breadth of expertise with seniors, aging adults and dementia patients provides a valuable resource to the team at Harrison's Hope. CALLIE KING is currently a Medicaid Program Specialist with the Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Welfare. Specializing in Medicaid for the aged, blind and disabled, she interprets federal and state policies pertaining to Medicaid, and provides guidance to Medicaid eligibility workers across the state. Ms. King has worked for the department for more than 6 years. KATHY MCGILL is currently a Medicaid Program Specialist with the Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Welfare. Specializing in Medicaid for families and children, she interprets federal and state policies pertaining to Medicaid, and provides guidance to Medicaid eligibility workers across the state. Ms. McGill has worked for the Department for more than 15 years. L. VICTORIA MEIER is an attorney with the law firm Eberle, Berlin, Kading, Turnbow & McKlveen, Chtd., where her practice is focused in the areas of business, estate planning and tax. She is licensed to practice law in Idaho and Washington and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Idaho. Ms. Meier also is a designated Certified Financial Planner. She earned her B.S. degree from the University of Maryland and her J.D. degree from the University of Idaho College of Law. Ms. Meier is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Idaho State Bar, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Boise Estate Planning Council. STEVEN F. SCANLIN is a sole practitioner in the Scanlin Law Offices, PLLC, in Boise, Idaho, where he practices in wills, trusts and estate planning, probate, small business organization, elder law, and guardianships. He offers advice and consultation services at senior citizen centers on wills, trusts and estate planning. Mr. Scanlin is a frequent lecturer for National Business Institute in his areas of expertise. He wrote "A Public Retirement Plan's View of Valuation and Division of Retirement Benefits at Divorce," published by The Advocate, and has conducted continuing legal education on "Drafting Your First Will and Trust in Idaho". Mr. Scanlin earned his B.S.Ed. degree from Montana State University at Billings, his J.D. degree from the University of Idaho and his M.S.W. degree from Portland State University. He is a member of the Idaho State Bar and the 4th District Bar. NORA S. WELLS is with the Idaho Department of Insurance in the SHIBA program in Twin Falls, Idaho. Ms. Wells is the long-term care insurance coordinator for the state of Idaho. She has previously lectured on topics related to Medicare.
