WALTER J. CONLON is the head of the foreclosure department of Metcalf, Conlon & Siering, PLC. Mr. Conlon has been a member of the Iowa Bar Association since 1975, and currently serves as chairman of its Real Estate Legislative Subcommittee. He is a former member of the Iowa legislature, where he chaired the House Committee on judiciary and law enforcement. Mr. Conlon was a principal author of the 2006 and 2009 foreclosure laws in the Iowa legislature. He earned his B.A. degree from Loras College and his J.D. degree from the University of Iowa. LINDA M. KIRSCH is a partner with the Cedar Rapids law firm of Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, P.C., where her practice includes real estate, commercial law, securities and private placement and corporate law. Ms. Kirsch received her B.A. degree, maxima cum laude, from Loras College and her J.D. degree, with high distinction, from the University of Iowa. She is a member of the Linn County, Iowa State (member, sections on Commercial and Bankruptcy Law and Real Estate and Title Law) and the American bar associations. WILLIAM S. VERNON is a member in the Cedar Rapids law firm of Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman PLC, where a major portion of his practice includes all phases of real estate transaction and litigation law, environmental litigation, title examinations, taxation and commercial law, litigation and foreclosure. Mr. Vernon is a non-practicing certified public accountant and has been a faculty member for seminars on real estate law, foreclosures and boundary disputes. He received his B.S. degree, cum laude, from Regis College, his J.D. degree from Drake University and his LL.M. degree in taxation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Mr. Vernon is a member of the Linn County, The Iowa State (former member, Title Guaranty Committee and Taxation Committee; current member, Title Standards Committee) and American (member, sections on Taxation; Urban, State and Local Government Law) bar associations.
