NATHAN J. BARBER is a partner practicing in the firm of Belin McCormick, PC's real estate and secured lending groups. Mr. Barber's practice has included advising a wide array of clients regarding all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition and sales, commercial loans, commercial leases, subdivision platting, and condominium and town home developments. His clients include developers, lenders, landlords, tenants, and other business entities that become involved in real estate transactions in connection with the operation of their businesses. In addition to his extensive real estate practice, Mr. Barber also advises clients with respect to general corporate matters, including entity formation, asset acquisition and disposition, and commercial finance. He earned his B.A. degree from University of Iowa and his J.D. degree from the University of California . Following graduation from law school, Mr. Barber served as a law clerk to the Honorable A. Wallace Tashima of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is a member of the Polk County, Iowa State and American bar associations. Mr. Barber is admitted to practice in Iowa and before the U.S. District Court, Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa. WALTER J. CONLON is the head of the foreclosure department of Metcalf, Conlon & Siering, PLC. Mr. Conlon has been a member of the Iowa Bar Association since 1975, and currently serves as chairman of its Real Estate Legislative Subcommittee. He is a former member of the Iowa legislature, where he chaired the House Committee on judiciary and law enforcement. Mr. Conlon was a principal author of the 2006 and 2009 foreclosure laws in the Iowa legislature. He earned his B.A. degree from Loras College and his J.D. degree from the University of Iowa. ANTHONY CRNIC is an attorney with Dunakey & Klatt PC, where his areas of practice include default services, real estate, business law, taxation, and health care. Mr. Crnic earned his B.S. degree from Iowa State University; his J.D. degree from Drake University School of Law; his M.B.A. from Drake University; and his LL.M. degree from DePaul University College of Law. While at Drake, he served on the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, where he was named the publication's outstanding third year staff member. Mr. Crnic also placed honorable mention in the Iowa Supreme Court writing competition for an essay he wrote on eminent domain. He is a member of the Black Hawk County, Polk County, Iowa State, and American bar associations.
