JEAN CHRISTENSEN is the founder of The Law Office of Jean Christensen LLLC, which is a full-service consumer bankruptcy law firm located in Honolulu, Hawaii, serving all the Hawaiian Islands. The firm assists individuals and married couples in obtaining debt relief under Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, and through alternatives to bankruptcy. The firm also offers representation in adversary proceedings and contested matters before the Bankruptcy Court, and in other debtor-creditor matters before the state and federal courts. Ms. Christensen earned her B.A. degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her J.D. degree from the University of Hawaii. She is a member of the Hawaii State and American bar associations and is admitted to practice before Hawaii state courts and the U.S. District Court, District of Hawaii. JERROLD K. GUBEN is a partner with the law firm of O'Connor Playdon & Guben, where he concentrates his practice in commercial and corporate litigation, bankruptcy and corporate reorganizations. Mr. Guben earned his B.S. degree from the University of Southern California, his A.M. degree from the University of Michigan and his LL.B. degree from Harvard University Law School. He has served as a lecturer in law and a research associate at Yale University Law School, and he was on the faculty of the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawaii. Mr. Guben is member of the Hawaii State Bar Association. ELIZABETH A. KANE is a sole practitioner in Honolulu, where her practice is concentrated in the areas of bankruptcy law, creditors' rights and commercial litigation. She earned her B.A. degree from James Madison University and her J.D. degree from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California at Berkeley. Ms. Kane has previously lectured on her areas of practice. She is a member of the Hawaii State (member, Bankruptcy Section) and American bar associations and the State Bar of Arizona.
