WESLEY H.H. CHING is a partner in the Honolulu law firm of Fukunaga Matayoshi Hershey & Ching where his primary areas of practice include insurance coverage, bad faith, personal injury and tort law, commercial and construction litigation, and environmental litigation. He has represented Hawaii and mainland insurance carriers and policyholders in insurance coverage and bad faith disputes both in federal and state courts in Hawaii. Mr. Ching also has served as an arbitrator and mediator for insurance coverage disputes and as an expert witness on coverage matters. He has been a speaker for numerous seminars on bad faith litigation and insurance law. Mr. Ching earned his B.A. degree from Claremont McKenna College and his J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law. He is a member of the Hawaii State and the American bar associations, the Defense Research Institute and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. MICHELE-LYNN E. LUKE is of counsel in the law firm of Kessner Umebayashi Bain & Matsunaga Attorneys at Law. Her primary areas of practice are commercial litigation, product liability, employment practices, toxic torts, public utilities litigation, professional malpractice, construction defects litigation and personal injury. Ms. Luke is admitted to practice before the Hawaii State Bar, the U.S. District Court (District of Hawaii), the U.S. Court of Appeals (9th Circuit) and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association, the Hawaii Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and the State of Hawaii Court-Annexed Arbitration Program (Arbitrator). Ms. Luke earned her B.A. degree from the University of Hawaii and her J.D. degree from American University, Washington School of Law. GREGORY K. MARKHAM is a partner in the Honolulu law firm of Chee & Markham, where his areas of practice include attorney-commercial litigation, real property, insurance, construction, product liability, professional liability and negligence. Mr. Markham is primarily engaged in the litigation and resolution of personal injury, insurance, commercial, real estate, construction, product liability, and premise liability matters. He is admitted to practice in Hawaii; the Hawaii Supreme Court; the U.S. District Court, District of Hawaii; the U.S. Tax Court; the U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Markham earned his B.A. degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his J.D. degree from the University of Colorado School of Law at Boulder. He is a member of the American and Hawaii State (Board of Directors) bar associations.
