AMANDA F. CALLOWAY is a managing partner with Calloway Title and Escrow, LLC. She entered the field of law quite naturally. Ms. Calloway has been voluntarily and involuntarily exposed to virtually every aspect of the real estate law process from the courthouse record rooms to the closing table. She joined the firm in 2007 as an associate attorney. Ms. Calloway attended two of Georgia's top universities, receiving her B.A. degree in English from the University of Georgia Honors Program, graduating magna cum laude, and her J. D. degree from The Emory School of Law. She became a member of the Georgia Bar Association in 2007 and a member of the South Carolina Bar Association in 2010. Ms. Calloway is an active member of CREW Atlanta and Dixie Land Title Association. CAROL V. CLARK is the founder of Carol Clark Law, where she is a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience, specializing in mortgage banking, construction and lease contracts, and other real estate related matters. A "Double Dawg" graduate of the honors program at The University of Georgia and its law school, Ms. Clark has served as chairperson of the 2000 + member Real Property Section of the State Bar of Georgia, is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, has presented papers at the Real Property Law Institute, Mortgage Bankers Association Legal Issues Conference, and has made occasional televised appearances, including The Layman's Lawyer. Her publications include the 4th and 5th Editions of Padrick's RESPA, TILA HOEPA and ECOA in Real Estate Transactions, and the contribution of several chapters in Georgia Procedure, Civil Procedure and Georgia Procedure, Property. Ms. Clark has been named as a Georgia Super Lawyer and repeatedly as one of Georgia's Fifty Top Female Lawyers by Atlanta Magazine, as well as one of Georgia's Top 100. In May 2008, she was awarded the prestigious George A. Pindar Award for lifetime achievement in real estate law. Ms. Clark was the first woman so honored and also the youngest ever named. MONICA K. GILROY, a founding principal of Dickenson Gilroy LLC, leads the litigation department. Ms. Gilroy has been a civil litigator for more than 15 years. The focus of her litigation practice includes all aspects of real estate litigation, including foreclosure and title disputes, broker and agent liability defense, and contract disputes. She regularly assists closing attorneys, real estate agents, property managers, title companies and brokers when title issues and other contract issues arise. Ms. Gilroy practiced for several years in the area of estate and trust litigation. She speaks and teaches on a regular basis to real estate professionals, property managers, real estate brokers, agents and attorneys on litigation and real estate related topics. She earned her B.A. degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin and her J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Ms. Gilroy is a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1993, the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, the Georgia Women Lawyer's Association, the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and the Real Property Section of the State Bar. She is a contributing writer to Foreclosure Law and Related Remedies: a State-by-State Digest, which was published by the American Bar Association. STEPHEN A. HARLAN is the principal of Harlan and Associates, LLC where his experience extends to all facets of the real estate transaction. From reviewing and resolving title issues to representing buyers, sellers, lenders and investors, his breadth of experience is recognized and respected throughout the Atlanta real estate industry. Having personally closed over 6,000 transactions, there are few closing attorneys in Atlanta with Mr. Harlan's experience. He is also a regular speaker at real estate investment seminars throughout the country. Mr. Harlan is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, The Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association, and The Georgia Real Estate Investors Association. He earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Emory University. MICHAEL R. SHER serves as counsel to the firm of Calloway Title & Escrow, a title agency that represents commercial real estate clients, conducts commercial title examinations and issues commercial title insurance policies. The firm is title agent for a variety of national title insurers, and is licensed in Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. Calloway Title has written billions of dollars of title insurance policies for raw land acquisitions, multi-site transactions, mixed use developments, broken lien priority transactions, shopping center developments, hotels and apartment building transactions. Prior to serving as counsel for another local title agency, along with having served as vice president for Fidelity National Title Insurance Company and First American Title Insurance Company. He earned his J.D. degree from Villanova University School of Law and his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Sher is licensed to practice law in Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania (non-resident status). TANIA T. TRUMBLE is with the law firm of Dickenson Gilroy LLC. She attended Hotchkiss Preparatory School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Tulane University in 1998. She graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2001 and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia that same year. Located at Dickenson Gilroy's corporate office in Alpharetta, she focuses on real estate law and litigation. She is a member of the DeKalb Bar Association and was the chair of the YLD High School Mock Trial Committee while attending the YLD Leadership Academy in 2007. DAVID A. WEISSMANN is a member of the law firm of Weissmann Zucker Euster Morochnik P.C., where he practices in the areas of commercial real estate, secured lending, corporate and business law. He earned his B.A. degree, with distinction, Echols Scholar, from the University of Virginia and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia, where he served on the Law Review and was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Constitutional Law. Mr. Weissmann is a member of the American Bar Association.
