CYNTHIA BRISCOE BROWN has practiced law in Atlanta since 1986 and is a shareholder in the firm of Brown & Brown Legal Services. She serves as counsel to small corporations and practices primarily in the areas of real estate, corporate transactions and commercial litigation. Ms. Brown also maintains a significant practice in the nonprofit arena, sits on the boards of several local charitable organizations and has represented Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta. She earned her A.B. degree from Davidson College and her J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law. She participated as author and commentator for two chapters of the property module of Georgia Jurisprudence, published by Lawyers Cooperative Publishing (now a division of West Publishing). Ms. Brown is a member of the State Bar of Georgia. JAMES F. BROWN JR. is an attorney with the law firm of Fine and Block Attorneys. He has practiced in and around Atlanta since 1986, primarily in the areas of residential and commercial real estate title examination, title insurance underwriting, escrow and closing services, secured lending and business and corporate law. Mr. Brown was a founding notes editor of the Emory International Law Review, where he reviewed and wrote practice commentaries for chapters on title examination, real estate sales contracts and deeds for the property module of Georgia Jurisprudence, published by Lawyers Cooperative Publishing. He earned his A.B. degree from Davidson College, his J.D. degree from Emory University, his LL.M. degree in International and Comparative Law from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and his M.Tx.degree from Georgia State University. Mr. Brown is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Real Property Law Section). LEIGH CLACK is a partner with Neel & Robinson Attorneys at Law, LLC, and she is the managing attorney of the Atlanta/Lenox office. Ms. Clack's law practice focuses on residential real estate, financing and contracts. She is a Georgia real estate licensee and broker; she has authored many publications including: The Practical Lawyer (national law periodical), State Bar of Georgia pamphlet: Buying a Home. She has been a contributing author and speaker for Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia, Georgia Association of Mortgage Brokers and Atlanta Bar Association since 1986. Ms. Clack was featured as a guest lecturer at Georgia State University School of Law. She has been honored with receiving the Affiliate of the Year for Women's Council of Realtors /Atlanta Board Award, and the Education Award from the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia. Ms. Clack serves on the Executive Committee of the State Bar of Georgia and Real Estate Section Chairperson for the Atlanta Bar Association. She earned her B.S. degree in psychology from the University of Georgia, her Masters in taxation from Georgia State University, and her J.D. degree from Emory University. CHARLES B. WATERS JR. is counsel in the Atlanta office of Stites & Harbison PLLC. He is also a member of the Real Estate & Banking Service Group. Mr. Waters focuses his practice on the representation of local and national banks and other financial institutions in commercial real estate transactions and other commercial lending matters. He also provides representation to non-lender entities and individuals on a broad range of real estate matters, including real estate litigation and other real estate disputes. Mr. Waters earned his B.B.A. degree from The University of Georgia and his J.D. degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Real Property Law Section), the Atlanta Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. He is a frequent speaker on topics relating to real property and real estate finance.
