DR. ERIK T. BENDIKS is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon affiliated with seven hospitals in the Atlanta area, a leading spine surgeon and researcher, and a fellow of the American College of Orthopedic Surgery. He has been nominated as a Top Doctor by the International Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, lectured at numerous conferences, and taught other spine surgeons on new techniques and technology to include his knowledge and development of new implant designs. Dr. Bendiks pioneered a percutaneous technique for low back fusion and Lumbar Fusion, which has since been adopted by leading spine centers across the United States for the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis. CHEN is an orthopaedic surgeon with Resurgens Orthopaedics where he concentrates his practice in arthroscopic knee and shoulder reconstruction; sports medicine; and hip, knee and shoulder joint replacement. Dr. Chen earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He is Board Eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Chen is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Health Volunteers Overseas. He is affiliated with Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. DR. PHANI K. DANTULURI is an orthopaedic surgeon with Resurgens Orthopaedics whose expertise is in shoulder and elbow surgery; hand and wrist surgery; arthroscopic, reconstructive, joint replacement surgery; sports medicine and general orgthopaedics. He earned his medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Dantuluri is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, The Philadelphia Hand and Upper Extremity Society (president 2007 - 2009); the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society; and the Thomas Jefferson University Orthopedic Society. He is affiliated with Emory Midtown Hospital. DONNA S. JONES RN, is a legal nurse consultant with the company DSJ & Associates, LLC and has 36 years experience in the medical/nursing field. Her primary goal is to be an advocate of quality nursing and medical care. Ms. Jones' expertise includes working in cardiac, respiratory and medical/surgical ICU's as well as emergency departments and home health. She works with both plaintiff and defense and has reviewed dozens of medical charts for wrongful death, pressure ulcers, misdiagnosis, emergency cases, falls, injuries due to injections and obstetrical mishaps resulting in severe injuries to the infant. Her certifications include: basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pain management at the end of life and pain principles and practice, safe use of opiates, NIH stroke scale and patient restraints. She holds memberships with the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, Critical Care Medical Professionals and Wound Care Professionals. In addition to a nursing degree, she also hold a degree in journalism and was editor of Hospital Peer Review, a monthly newsletter dedicated to providing information regarding peer review, risk management and quality in health care settings. DR. JOHN G. MOWBRAY MD, specializes in surgery of the hand and upper extremity with Resurgens Orthopaedics. He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Mowbray received his medical degree from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. He is board certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Mowbray is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, The Phi Beta Kappa Society, and the Medical Association of Georgia. His Hospital affiliations are with North Fulton Regional Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, and St. Joseph's Hospital. JOSHUA SACKS is a member and practices out of the Dunwoody office of The Law Offices of Josh Sacks, P.C., where his main areas of practice are complex spinal cord, burn, and other catastrophic injury cases arising from product liability, trucking liability, pharmaceutical issues and medical malpractice. He has lectured extensively on topics relating to his areas of practice and on issues such as available office technologies, effective voir dire, and overall case preparation and organization. Mr. Sacks is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and former co-chair of the annual product liability seminar, the Atlanta and the American (former vice chair, Products Liability and Consumer Law Committee) bar associations and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (former champion member). Mr. Sacks is consistently recognized as a Georgia "Super Lawyer". He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Amherst College and his J.D. degree from the College of William & Mary. DR. JOHN R. SASS Ph.D., is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist who has maintained a private practice in Decatur, Georgia, at Cognitive Rehabilitation of Georgia, P.C. and Center for Cognitive Rehabilitation for the past 20 years. He has also been the consulting neuropsychologist at Restore Neurobehavioral Center in Roswell, Georgia, for 15 years. Dr. Sass' professional interests include working with school age children and adults with acquired brain injuries, both from an assessment and treatment perspective. Dr. Sass offers a wide range of services and treatment including comprehensive neuropsychological and forensic evaluations, chronic pain assessment and management, along with office-based cognitive rehabilitation, individual, couple, family and group psychotherapy. Dr. Sass has served as a member of an expert panel that developed and published a booklet of Facts About Concussion and Brain Injury for the CDC Department of Health and Human Services. He has consulted with multiple facilities including North Fulton Regional Hospital in developing the Disabled Drivers Program and with Dekalb Medical Center as the consulting neuropsychologist for the outpatient rehabilitation program during 2006-2008. He has conducted numerous workshops and presentations for professional organizations. Dr. Sass earned his Bachelor's Degree in psychology from Emory University and his Doctorate in psychology with an emphasis in neuropsychology from Georgia State University. He received internship training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York City and conducted research in stroke rehabilitation at The Emory Center for Rehabilitation Medicine. He is an adjunct faculty member of the Georgia School of Professional Psychology (Argosy Atlanta) and is actively involved in the supervision and training of graduate practicum level students in the neuropsychology track. He is a member of NAN, INS, APA, AACN, and National Providers of Health Service in Psychology.
