HON. NANCY F. ALLEY was appointed to the 18th Judicial Circuit of Florida in 1997 and re-elected in 2002. Judge Alley served in the probate, family, juvenile, civil and criminal divisions. She also served as Administrative Judge in the probate, juvenile, family and civil divisions. Judge Alley was an instructor for the Circuit Judges Conference from 2002 to 2008. She has been an adjunct professor for Barry University - School of Law since 2002. Judge Alley was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1983. She was in private practice from 1983 to 1988 and then again from 1994 to 1997. Judge Alley received her B.A. degree from the University of Mississippi and her J.D. degree from Villanova School of Law. HON. JENIFER M. DAVIS is a Circuit Judge for Osceola County Unified Family Court. Prior to her present position, she was a Circuit Judge for Orange County Criminal Court. Judge Davis received her Bachelor of Arts, her Master of Arts and her Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Florida. She is a member of The Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association. She is on the Education Committee for the Florida Conference Circuit Judges. Judge Davis is a past board member for the Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. HON. SANDRA EDWARDS-STEPHENS is currently a Circuit Judge in Ocala, Marion County in the Family Domestic Relation Division including dependency and adoption and an eigth of 2010 Foreclosure Filings. She was the first woman, first African-American judge of Marion County, and the 5th Judicial Circuit which covers Marion, Citrus, Lake, Sumter and Hernando counties. She was elected as a County Judge in 1990, and in 2000 she was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to the Circuit bench. She served as a faculty member for the Florida Judicial College for New Judges from 1993 to 2007. She also serves as the mentor coordinator for the 5th Circuit which comprises of the counties of Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion and Sumter. Prior to her becoming a judge, she taught special education in South Florida several years before going to law school. She finished law school in 1982 and worked as a certified legal intern with the Greater Miami Legal Services. Judge Edwards-Stephens entered into private practice in 1984, going on to become an associate university attorney with the University of Central Florida. Her final position as a practicing attorney was with the Florida Department of Transportation as a senior attorney. HON. SALLY D.M. KEST is a Circuit Judge in the 9th Judicial Circuit in Orange County. Judge Kest is assigned to the Orange County Domestic Division. She is an instructor at Barry University College of Law, Rollins College and Valencia Community College. She is an active member of The Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association. Judge Kest earned her B.A. and J.D. degrees from Florida State University. HON. GEORGE W. MAXWELL III was elected Circuit Judge of Viera, Brevard County in 1998, (his term started in January 1999). He has been a Board-Certified Civil Trial Attorney since June 1992. Judge Maxwell is a former Corporal USMC (1965 - 1968). He received his B.S. degree from Stetson University and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida. HON. LISA TAYLOR MUNYON is an administrative circuit judge with the 9th Judicial Circuit, Orange County Domestic Court. Judge Munyon has held that position since 2008. Currently, she is chair of the Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Criminal Cases, a member of the Central Florida Criminal Justice/Public Safety Coordinating Council and a member of the Orange County Bar Association (volunteer guardian ad litem). Additionally, Judge Munyon is a member of The Florida Bar and is active in several of the Bar's committees, including the Grievance Committee, Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee, Quality of Life Committee and Domestic Violence Committee. She received her B.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Florida. MODERATOR - J.J. DAHL is the managing partner and owner of the Dahl Family Law Group, where she practices exclusively in the areas of marital and family law. Ms. Dahl has been an attorney for 20 years and is the only Lake County Board Certified Attorney in Marital and Family Law and one of less than 275 in the entire state. She has spoken at seminars on marital and family law issues, including co-chairing The Florida Bar's Marital and Family Law Certification Review Course - the largest CLE hosted by The Florida Bar. Ms. Dahl is a former adjunct professor at Beacon College. She is a member of the Lake County Family Law Bar Association (past president), The Florida Bar (past member of the Executive Council, Family Bar Section), Central Florida Family Law Inns of Court and past vice chair of her Circuit's Judicial Nominating Committee. Ms. Dahl earned her B.S. degree from Nova University and J.D. degree from Florida State University. She is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator. When she is not attending to her own family, her family law clients, or the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar, she enjoys church, football and yoga.
