DAVID K. BLATTNER is a shareholder with the firm Fowler White Boggs, PA, where his areas of practice include construction law, construction litigation, real estate, real estate/land development, real estate financing and real estate litigation. He represents a broad range of clients, including multi-national corporations; domestic corporations; banks and other financial institutions; condominium and homeowners' associations; property management companies, as well as privately held entities and individuals in the acquisition, financing and development of major shopping centers; office buildings and executive parks; marinas; warehouse facilities; single-family and multi-family residential developments; and condominiums. Mr. Blattner also has represented funeral homes and cemetery owners. He earned his B.A. degree from George Washington University and his J.D. degree, with distinction, from John Marshall Law School. DANIEL S. CARUSI is an attorney in Fort Lauderdale, practicing in real estate law and related areas. Mr. Carusi earned his A.B. degree in political science from Brown University and his J.D. degree from the University of Miami. He is a member of the Attorney's Title Insurance Fund, Inc.; The Florida Bar (member, Real Estate and Probate Section); and the Broward Attorneys Real Estate Council. Mr. Carusi has handled more than 1000 closings and is a previous lecturer in his areas of expertise. SHARI B. OLEFSON is an attorney with the law firm Fowler White Boggs, PA. Ms. Olefson is one of only a handful of lawyers who is a bar certified real estate attorney and has earned a Master of Law degree in real property, land development and finance. She also is a certified mediator for the Florida Supreme Court, a licensed real estate broker, a licensed correspondent mortgage lender and a licensed title insurance agent. Ms. Olefson is licensed to practice in New York, Washington D.C. and Florida since 1989. Her practice has focused on real estate and business transactions for domestic and international investors, lenders and developers; and resolving the disputes that sometimes result from transactions and business relationships, including complex business and real estate mediation, work-outs and foreclosures. Ms. Olefson is a frequent lecturer on real estate and business matters, appearing in radio, television, and print interviews and publishing articles on a regular basis. She is a member of Florida Association of Realtors; National Association of Realtors; Commercial Real Estate Women; First American Title Insurance Company; International Council of Shopping Centers; The Florida Bar Simplified Forms Committee; and The Florida Bar Real Property, Trust and Probate Section. Ms. Olefson earned her B.A. degree from Carnegie Mellon University, her J.D. degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and her L.L.M. degree from the University of Miami. MICHAEL ROTHMAN is a shareholder in the law office of Rothman & Tobin, P.A., where he practices in the areas of real property litigation; title insurance defense litigation; real estate closings, with an emphasis on land acquisition and development; new construction closings; and probate. Rothman & Tobin, P.A. maintains offices in Miami and Coral Springs, Florida. He has been a presenter at The Fund Assembly, is a past instructor at the Institute of Paralegal Training and has lectured for the Florida Land Title Association. Mr. Rothman is a member of the FLTA, and the Miami-Dade County and Federal bar associations. He is a certified circuit court mediator and received his certification in residential mortgage foreclosure mediation. He earned his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Albany and his J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law.
