MARTIN S. AWERBACH of Awerbach & Cohn, P.A., in Clearwater, Florida, has been board-certified as a real estate lawyer by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education since 1993, and is a member and past chair of the Real Estate Board Certification Committee. MARSHALL C. DEASON is an attorney with Tampa Bay Business Law in Florida. He is a board-certified real estate lawyer by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. Since 1973, Mr. Deason has practiced primarily in the areas of real property and corporate law. Prior to entering private practice, he was an attorney with the Office of the General Counsel, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He also has served as vice president and general counsel at Cheezem Development Corporation. He is a frequent lecturer and author on real estate title law, legal ethics, limited liability company formation and commercial real estate leasing. Mr. Deason earned his B.A. degree from Denison University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. He is a member of The Florida Bar, the District of Columbia Bar and the Maryland State Bar Association. RORY B. WEINER is a sole practitioner in Brandon, Florida, where he practices in the areas of small business law, real estate and commercial litigation. He is a title agent for Old Republic Title Insurance Company and a title agent for the Attorney Title Fund. Mr. Weiner earned his B.S. degree from the University of South Florida, his B.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Florida and his J.D. degree from the Western New England College School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. Prior to opening his own practice, Mr. Weiner clerked for the Honorable Michael Ponsor, U.S. District Judge, and was a member of the commercial litigation department at Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A., in Tampa, Florida.
