G. MARK SHALLOWAY practices as president and shareholder with his father in the firm of Shalloway & Shalloway, P.A., where he specializes in elder law in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is among the first 135 certified elder law attorneys in the nation certified by the National Elder Law Foundation, and is a member of the charter class of attorneys Board Certified in Elder Law by The Florida Bar. Nationally, Mr. Shalloway has served as president for and is a Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and is proud to have received the Outstanding Achievement Award from NAELA for his work with the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys (state chapter of NAELA). In addition, the late Governor Lawton Chiles and Governor Jeb Bush have appointed him to serve as the Attorney on the state's Long-Term Care Ombudsman Council, Palm Beach District. Mr. Shalloway earned his B.A. degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. degree from Nova University. STEPHEN A. TAYLOR is an attorney with Suarez & Taylor, Attorneys at Law in Miami, Florida, where he practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and guardianship administration, elder law, and special needs planning. He is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and The Florida Bar (Real Property and Probate and Trust Law and the Elder Law sections). Mr. Taylor is certified in Elder Law by The Florida Bar. He was named to the Florida Rising Stars of the Super Lawyer publication and was named as Legal Elite by Florida Trend magazine in 2010. Mr. Taylor was a founder of the ARC of South Florida Pooled Trust and currently serves on its Board of Directors. In addition to being an attorney, he is a Certified Financial Planner. Mr. Taylor has lectured at numerous seminars concerning probate and tax issues. Mr. Taylor earned his B.B.A. degree from Oglethorpe University and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida.
