KARA EVANS is a sole practitioner in Tampa, where she practices in the areas of elder law, and estate and tax planning. Ms. Evans has been practicing law for more than 23 years and is board-certified in elder law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization. She has previously lectured before attorneys and other professionals on elder law issues. Ms. Evans is admitted to practice in Florida and New York, and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, The Florida Bar (member, Probate and Elder sections; chairman of the Probate Committee for the Elder Law Section and member of the Executive Committee) and the New York State Bar Association. She earned her B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Florida, and her M.S. degree in taxation from Long Island University. LAURIE E. OHALL is the principal of the Law Offices of Laurie E. Ohall, P.A., where she practices in the areas of estate planning, elder law (including asset protection and Medicaid planning), wills, trusts and probate. She has lectured for the Institute for Paralegal Education on estate planning and probate issues and for the National Business Institute on asset protection. She is a member of the Brandon County and Ohio State bar associations, The Florida Bar (member, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys. Ms. Ohall earned her B.A. degree and her J.D. degree from Stetson University. BEVERLY J. WHITE is an attorney with more than 20 years of legal experience and is engaged in private practice with The Law Firm of Beverly J. White, P.A. Ms. White handles a variety of matters including Medicaid planning and eligibility, estate planning, trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care advance directives, and probate. She is a member of The Florida Bar (member, Elder Law Section; Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section) and the State Bar of Michigan. Ms. White is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys and is active in numerous elder-related groups. She belongs to the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Family Law Inns of Court and is on the Board of Directors of Better Living for Seniors, an affiliate of the District Area Agency on Aging of Pinellas and Pasco Counties, Florida and the West Central Florida Agency on Aging. Ms. White is a frequent speaker for professional organizations and local civic groups and enjoys sharing information of interest to and about the elder sector of our population. She earned her B.A. degree from Michigan State University and her J.D. degree from the University of Detroit School of Law.
