ANTHONY V. CORTESE is a sole practitioner in Tampa who has practiced for more than 25 years handling personal injury litigation, longshore claims, workers' compensation and general litigation. DAVID GALLAGHER is a partner with Gallagher Keenan, P.A., where he practices primarily in the areas of general liability, automobile, homeowners and trucking lines, medical and professional liability, construction litigation, commercial and business litigation and defense of the healthcare industry. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer and has extensive trial experience in complex litigation. Mr. Gallagher was a member of the Florida Bar's Civil Trial Certification Committee in 2008. He served on the Board of Directors for Dade County. Mr. Gallagher is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court and the Southern and Middle districts of Florida. THOMAS S. HARMON is a partner with the law firm of Harmon, Woods, Parker, Hendricks & Abrunzo, P.A., in Tampa, Florida. His practice focuses on personal injury, wrongful death and professional liability with an emphasis on nursing home negligence and medical malpractice litigation. Mr. Harmon is board certified in civil trial law by The Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He served on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers from 2001 to 2004 and is a certified member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum having obtained 14 verdicts or settlements in excess of $1 million. In 2002 Mr. Harmon obtained the highest verdict ever in Alachua County in a negligence action, $40.5 million, for the death of three developmentally disabled children. More recently, on April 11, 2007, he and his partner Kevin Woods obtained one of the largest verdicts ever in Manatee County, $6.5 million, involving an automobile accident resulting in brain injury. Mr. Harmon has been named one of the top 40 lawyers in the Tampa Bay area under the age of 40 by the Tampa Bay Review and one of Florida's Legal Elite (top 1.7 percent of lawyers in the state named by their peers) by Florida Trend magazine. He began his career with the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker, P.A. in Tampa, Florida where he concentrated in the defense of medical providers, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Mr. Harmon earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Auburn University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law. GARY S. WEISMAN is an attorney with Older, Lundy & Weisman, Attorneys at Law, in Tampa, Florida, where his practice is concentrated in the areas of insurance coverage and claims handling issues. He has written articles and lectured on insurance bad faith and closing arguments for the Florida Justice Association. Mr. Weisman earned his B.A. degree from George Washington University and his J.D. degree from Florida State University College of Law.
