GILBERT B. LADEN is a sole practitioner in Mobile, Alabama, where his law practice is primarily devoted to Social Security disability law. Mr. Laden earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Emory University and his J.D. degree from Mercer University. Formerly a staff attorney with Georgia Legal Services, he has been in private practice since 1980. Mr. Laden is certified as a Social Security Disability Advocate by the National Board of Social Security Disability Advocacy. He is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Laden was named by Alabama Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in Alabama for 2010. He is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR). Mr. Laden has been active in the Mobile Bar Association, serving as the first chair of its Social Security Section and as president of the Volunteer Lawyers Program. He has served as chair of the Disabilities Law Section of the Alabama State Bar. In 2007, he was honored as "Volunteer Lawyer of the Year" by the Alabama State Bar. He has been a speaker at numerous seminars in the area of Social Security disability law. NICK A. ORTIZ is an attorney with the Soloway Law Firm in Pensacola, Florida. Mr. Ortiz practices in the areas of Social Security disability insurance benefits; Supplemental Security Income disability (also known as SSI claims); personal claims, including slip and fall accidents; car accidents, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents and wrongful death; long term disability claims; short disability claims; and ERISA. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law. Mr. Ortiz is licensed to practice law in all Florida state courts; the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
