TIMOTHY P. ATKINSON is a shareholder in the Tallahassee law firm of Oertel, Fernandez, Cole & Bryant, P.A. Since 1993, he has concentrated his practice in land use law, regulatory law, environmental law, governmental law, administrative and appellate law, including complex litigation. Mr. Atkinson has represented both private and public sector clients. A substantial portion of his practice has been before local, state and federal regulatory agencies. He also served an internship with the General Counsel's Office in the State of Florida, Department of Education. Mr. Atkinson is a member of the Florida Air and Waste Management Association. He is an author and lecturer for the Florida Chamber of Commerce at their environmental permitting courses. Mr. Atkinson has lectured on the topic of water quality discharge permitting to business and professional groups. He is a member of The Florida Bar (member, Appellate Practice and Advocacy; Environmental and Land Use Law; and Administrative Law sections). Mr. Atkinson earned his B.A. degree from the Florida State University and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the Florida State University College of Law.
