M.B. ADELSON IV is an attorney with the Law Offices of M.B. Adelson IV, P.A., in Tallahassee, where he practices throughout Florida and in other states, with emphasis on natural resources and environmental law; land use; environmental resource permitting and remediation; regulatory agency and administrative law; protected species; public lands; submerged lands and wetlands; riparian and littoral rights; surface waters; real property transactions; due diligence and title and boundary examination; easements; private property rights; construction and surety law; coastal construction and dredging; port facilities and marinas; constitutional law; and administrative, state, federal and appellate litigation. Mr. Adelson was the chief permitting attorney for water resources in the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and also served the divisions of Marine Resources; Law Enforcement; State Lands; Beaches and Coastal Systems; Recreation and Parks in the Department of Environmental Protection; and its predecessor, the Department of Natural Resources. He is a retired Army officer, and active in a number of legal and community organizations. Mr. Adelson is a member of The Florida Bar (Administrative Law, and Environmental and Land Use Law sections) and is admitted to practice in the Florida federal courts. He earned his B.A. degree from the Virginia Military Institute, his M.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the Florida Institute of Technology, and his J.D. degree from Florida State University. KENNETH M HESSER is an attorney with Schatt & Hesser, where he practices in the fields of bankruptcy, employment and workers' compensation law. Mr. Hesser is eligible for board certification in workers' compensation, is a published author in the field, and has spoken at multiple legal education seminars for both attorneys and non-layers. He was recognized as a Superlawyer Rising Star for 2010 and 2011. Mr. Hesser also will serve as the administrator in 2011-2012 for the DR Smith American Inns of Court in Ocala. He graduated from Penn State University and obtained his law degree in 2000 from Wake Forest University. RAYMOND B. LABELLA is a member and managing attorney of LaBella Law, a bankruptcy and consumer advocacy law firm with offices in Orange Park, Florida. He practices in the areas of consumer and small business bankruptcy, property claims, employee rights, Social Security, and wills and probate. Mr. LaBella was the managing editor for the Florida Coastal Law Journal (2001-2002) and auditor for the FCSL Student Bar Association (2001-2002). Mr. LaBella's work "Mercenary or Watchdog: Will the SEC's New Rules Resurrect the Integrity of Auditing?" was published in the Florida Coastal Law Journal (2002). He has been a volunteer instructor for the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid Small Claims Workshop, a visiting judge for the Florida Coastal School of Law Lawyering Practice class appellate arguments and guest lecturer on the subject of small firm practice. Mr. LaBella has also taught continuing education courses in probate, collections law and consumer rights. He earned his J.D. degree from Florida Coastal School of Law and his B.S. degree from the University of Florida. Mr. LaBella is a member of The Florida Bar, Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Clay County Bar Association and the Jacksonville Bar Association.
