CHRISTINE A. GUDAITIS is a partner at the law firm of Ver Ploeg & Lumpkin, P.A. in Miami, where her practice consists primarily of representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, as well as bad faith litigation. Ms. Gudaitis is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Gudaitis served as a member of the University of Miami International and Comparative Law Review, the Moot Court Board, and the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society. She is currently admitted to practice before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, The Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern districts of Florida, and is a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and the American Bar Association. GARY I. KHUTORSKY is a member of the law firm of Litchfield Cavo, LLP, where he practices in bad faith litigation and all forms of insurance coverage litigation. Mr. Khutorsky also is a frequent lecturer on insurance and other litigation topics. He is a member of the Dade County and American bar associations, The Florida Bar, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Khutorsky earned his B.S. and B.A. degrees, with honors, and J.D. degree from the University of Florida. MICHELLE M. NIEMEYER represents policyholders suing insurance companies in first-party and third-party insurance coverage litigation and insurance bad faith litigation. Ms. Niemeyer also provides pre-suit risk management and claims counseling and independent counsel for corporate and individual policyholders. She has lectured for National Business Institute on several occasions regarding insurance coverage and bad faith topics. She earned her B.A. degree from DePauw University and her J.D. degree from Boston University. Ms. Niemeyer is admitted to practice law in Florida, Maryland and the District of Columbia, all federal courts in the state of Florida, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is a member of the American Bar Association (co-chair, Membership Committee; member, Section of Litigation Committee on Insurance Coverage Litigation; member, Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section) and the American Association for Justice (AAJ). MORRIS D. PATAKY is a shareholder with Fowler White Burnett, P.A. Mr. Pataky's practice involves the litigation of bad faith insurance disputes and insurance coverage actions, as well as real estate and commercial contract actions. His extensive experience with the defense of insurance carriers in bad faith disputes includes consulting and defending primary and excess carriers against these claims. Mr. Pataky has advised carriers and handled more than 50 cases involving multiple claimants and limited insurance proceeds. He also regularly handles insurance coverage litigation which involves the evaluation and defense of coverage disputes on behalf of insurance companies. Mr. Pataky also has defended numerous foreclosures and title defect claims for mortgage companies throughout South Florida. In addition, he has defended dentists and emergency medicine physicians in malpractice actions throughout his career. Specifically, Mr. Pataky has worked with dentists in the defense of claims brought by individuals and the Florida Department of Health. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. degree from Northwestern University School of Law.
