KATHLEEN M. BONCZYK is a consultant and attorney whose areas of practice are limited to labor and employment and insurance law. She is a former human resources professional with an extensive corporate background. Over the years, Ms. Bonczyk has trained hundreds of executives, managers and supervisors on various topics related to equal employment opportunity and labor and employee relations. Additionally, she coaches, counsels, and advises employers on human resources matters and conducts on-site workshops, audits, and investigations into allegations of discriminatory hiring practices, wrongful termination, retaliation and harassment, among other matters related to the employment life cycle. Ms. Bonczyk also is involved in a variety of community-based organizations, including "Justice Teaching." She recently published her first ebook The Contemporary Supervisor's 911 Guide to Managing Employees: Commonsense Solutions for Everyday Dilemmas. BRIAN D. BUCKSTEIN is an attorney whose main areas of practice include litigating and arbitrating the enforcement of non-competition and restrictive covenants; litigating disputes concerning failure to pay commissions; wages, stock options and overtime; pressing and defending alleged violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and Florida wage payment laws; litigating disputes concerning promissory notes and forgivable loans in the securities industry; and asserting and defending form U5 and other defamation claims in connection with broker-dealer employment. Mr. Buckstein has prosecuted and defended many race, national origin, disability, age, and gender discrimination and retaliation claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the New York State Humans Right Law, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the Florida Civil Right Act, and whistleblower claims under the Florida's private sector whistleblower act and Sarbanes-Oxley. He has handled cases before federal and state courts in Florida, New York, and New Jersey. Mr. Buckstein also has handled cases before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, the New York Division of Human Rights, the Florida Commission on Human Relations, the Department of Labor, and before arbitration tribunals such as the FINRA and the American Arbitration Association. He is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Court Mediator and a FINRA arbitrator. Mr. Buckstein is a member of The Florida Bar and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. He earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from New York University and his J.D. degree from Rutgers University. STUART M. SILVERMAN is the principal of Law Offices of Stuart M. Silverman, P.A., located in Boca Raton, Florida. The emphasis of his practice is in the areas of labor and employment law and business and commercial litigation. Mr. Silverman has represented both private and public employers and individual employees in a whole host of complex business disputes and employment settings at administrative levels, state and federal trial and appellate courts. His extensive employment litigation experience includes claims under age, race, sex discrimination, wage and hour claims, ADA and FMLA claims, public employee's claims, as well as disputes under employment contracts, non-compete agreements, trade secrets disputes and partnership breakups. Mr. Silverman is a frequent speaker on his areas of practice. He earned his B.A. degree, with high honors, and J.D. degree from Rutgers University. Mr. Silverman is admitted to The Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
