MALCOLM F. BARLOW is a partner in the Manchester firm of Barlow & Murphy, LLP, where he practices in the areas of elder law, probate, personal injury and real estate. He has been involved in probate practice since 1978 and has litigated probate issues including the admission of wills. Mr. Barlow is a frequent lecturer at seminars on elder law and probate matters. He is a past president of the Manchester Bar Association and is a member of the Hartford County and Connecticut bar associations. Mr. Barlow is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association of Justice, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. He also is a participating attorney in the AARP Legal Services Network, is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, (NAELA) and is a member of the Connecticut Chapter of NAELA. Mr. Barlow earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Connecticut. NEAL M. BOBRUFF is a sole practitioner in Mystic, Connecticut, where he focuses on trusts and estates, real estate, elder law and taxation. Mr. Bobruff earned his B.A. degree from Vassur College, his J.D. degree from the University of Connecticut and his LL.M. degree from Boston University Law School. He is admitted to practice in Florida and Connecticut. Mr. Bobruff is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association (Elder Law Section; Executive Committee of Estate and Probate Section; Real Estate, Business Law and Taxation sections), past president of the Estate and Tax Council of Eastern Connecticut, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and a past president of the Estate and Tax Planning Council of Eastern Connecticut. REBEKAH M. BURGIO is an attorney in the trusts and estates department at the law office of Pullman & Comley, LLC, where she practices in the areas of trusts and estates and probate disputes. Prior to joining Pullman & Comley, LLC, she was a staff attorney at the West Hartford Probate Court, where she researched legal issues pertaining to estates, trusts, child matters and elder law. Ms. Burgio served as a judicial intern for Judge Lorraine Murphy Weil while attending the University of Connecticut School of Law. She earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Connecticut. Ms. Burgio is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, was awarded the New England Scholar Award, and was listed in the Who's Who Among American Universities and Colleges, 1999-2002. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law and was awarded the University of Connecticut School of Law Certificate in Taxation. Ms. Burgio is admitted to practice in the state of Connecticut. ALFRED R. CASELLA is an attorney in the law firm of Murtha Cullina LLP, in Hartford. His areas of practice include estate settlement, estate planning, business planning and conservatorships. Mr. Casella earned his B.S. degree from Trinity College, his J.D. degree from the University of Connecticut and his LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law. He frequently speaks on estate planning, estate settlement, conservatorships and fiduciary income tax to various professional, legal and business groups. Mr. Casella is a member of the Connecticut (member, Tax Section and Estate and Probate Section and is on the Executive Committee for both Sections), Massachusetts and American (member, Real Property and Probate Section) bar associations and is a member of the Connecticut and Massachusetts bars. BARBARA S. KOTEEN is a member of the estate department at Diserio Martin O'Connor & Castiglioni LLP, in Stamford. She provides clients with advice on estate and disability planning, estate administration and tax issues. Ms. Koteen is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York. She earned her B.S. degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and her J.D. degree from Pace University School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Koteen served as managing editor of the Pace Law Review. She is a member of the Connecticut, New York State, Fairfield County and the Westchester Women's bar associations, as well as the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. In addition, Ms. Koteen serves as secretary on the Board of Directors of Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk. PATRICK L. POESCHL is a principal with the law firm of Nemchek Poeschl, LLP, with offices located in New London and Stamford, where he practices exclusively in the fields of estate planning, administration and litigation, elder law and conservatorship, and guardianship law. He co-wrote "Gift Registration Regs, A Guide to Gift Taxes" for the Connecticut Law Tribune, June 28, 1999. Mr. Poeschl earned his B.A. degree from St. John's University and his J.D. degree from Queens College of the City University of New York. He has lectured to professional groups on various trust and estate topics.
