IVAN M. KATZ is a sole practitioner in New Haven, Connecticut where he practices in the areas of Social Security disability, personal injury and workers' compensation law. Mr. Katz has previously lectured for National Business Institute on social security issues and in 2006 he spoke at the NOSSCR Disability Law Conference in Boston, Massachusetts on the intersection of social security and bankruptcy law. He is a member of the Connecticut and New Haven County Bar Associations and he is active in the Connecticut Bar Association's Disability Law Committee, where he has been a member for more than 30 years. He earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Georgetown University. JEFFREY C. NICHOLAS is an attorney in Torrington, Connecticut and a former claims representative with the Social Security Administration. Mr. Nicholas has been an attorney for more than 20 years and practices in the areas of Social Security Disability, personal injury and workers' compensation. He serves as a Connecticut Fact Finder and Trial Referee. He has served as a neutral arbitrator and was recently reappointed as a Justice of the Peace. Mr. Nicholas was also an AFGE Union Representative and a Claims Representative. He is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). He is also a member of the Connecticut, Litchfield County and Waterbury bar associations. Mr. Nicholas is admitted to the Connecticut Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar and U.S. Supreme Court. He served on the Board of Finance, Employees Appeal Board, and as Selectman and First Selectman in the Town of Bethlehem. Mr. Nicholas earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Connecticut.
