GREGORY ARCARO is an attorney with the law firm of Brown, Paindiris & Scott, LLP. His practice is concentrated in the area of bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, commercial litigation, real estate and commercial workouts. Mr. Arcaro has represented individual and institutional clients, as well as bankruptcy trustees, in the context of collection proceedings, often in the nature of fraudulent conveyance and preference actions, in state and federal courts. Mr. Arcaro earned his B.A. degree from Mount Saint Mary College, where he was named Ralph Scholar for academic and community achievement in 1992 and he earned his J.D. degree from Western New England College School of Law. Mr. Arcaro is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, affiliated with the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section and is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. MEREDITH C. BURNS is an associate with Murtha Cullina LLP in the litigation department, and represents clients in bankruptcy, creditors' rights and business litigation. In her bankruptcy practice, Ms. Burns represents plaintiffs and defendants in avoidance and dischargeability actions, as well as creditors' committees in Chapter 11 proceedings. She also handles collection litigation, including foreclosures, and actions pursuant to the Connecticut Prejudgment Remedy statute and the Uniform Commercial Code. Ms. Burns has represented municipalities and corporations in property tax appeals. She is a member of the Connecticut (Commercial Law and Bankruptcy sections) and Massachusetts, American bar associations, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, District Court of Connecticut and U.S. District Court, District Court of Massachusetts. Ms. Burns earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School. IRVE J. GOLDMAN is a member of the law firm of Pullman & Comley LLC, where his practice areas include commercial bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, commercial litigation and personal bankruptcy. Mr. Goldman is certified as a business bankruptcy specialist by the American Board of Certification that is recognized by state of Connecticut. He has spoken for the Connecticut Bar Association Litigation Section and also has lectured on bankruptcy issues in construction. Mr. Goldman is a contributing author to the Bankruptcy Business Acquisitions. He is published in the American Bankruptcy Law Journal where he wrote "Can You Freeze Assets in a Fraudulent Conveyance Action?" and "Whose Cause of Action Is It, Anyway?" Mr. Goldman is a member of the Bridgeport (member, Commercial Law Committee) and Connecticut (member, Executive Committee; vice chair, Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section) bar associations, and the American Bankruptcy Institute (member, Business Reorganization Committee). He earned his B.B.A. degree from Temple University and J.D. degree from Western New England College.
