NANCY R. CROW is a shareholder in the law firm of Pendleton, Friedberg, Wilson, Hennessey & Meyer, P.C., where she practices in the areas of tax law, estate planning, probate, employee benefits law and pension plans law. Ms. Crow is a frequent lecturer on topics related to her areas of practice. She wrote and has updated chapters on estate planning, estate administration, and will drafting and execution for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th editions of the Colorado Methods and Practice, West Publishing. Ms. Crow is a member of the Denver, the Colorado (past chair, Taxation Section; column editor, Probate and Trust Section) and American (member, Taxation and Probate sections) bar associations; the Colorado Women's Bar Association; the Denver Tax Association; and the State Bar of California. She also is a member of the Denver Tax Institute Planning Committee, the Women's Estate Planning Council and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Ms. Crow earned her B.A. degree from Antioch College, her J.D. degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her LL.M. degree from New York University. SUSAN R. HARRIS is a member of the law firm of Susan R. Harris & Associates, LLC, where her practice focuses on all aspects of estate and trust planning and administration, conservatorships, guardianships, and related taxation, including gift, estate, generation skipping and fiduciary income taxation. Ms. Harris has been a lecturer at the University of Denver College of Law (wills and trusts); a participant in the University of Denver College of Law wills lab and student mentoring programs; a lecturer for CLE of Colorado and National Business Institute; and was a lecturer for an ABA approved paralegal studies program at the Community College of Aurora. She is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a member of the Denver, Colorado (Trust and Estate Sections) and American (Trust and Estate Sections) bar associations. Ms. Harris was named a "Super Lawyer" from 2006 to 2010 in 5280 magazine, and is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America. She earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Denver and her J.D. degree from the University of Denver College of Law. DANIEL P. KAPSAK is the principal of The Kapsak Law Firm, LLC, where his practice is devoted to estate and elder law planning. Mr. Kapsak currently serves on the Longmont United Hospital Ethics Committee (past chair), is a board member of the Colorado Center for Hospice and Palliative Care and has participated in both the End of Life Coalition for Hospice of Boulder/Broomfield Counties (member, Steering Committee) and the End of Life Task force through the Boulder County Hospital Ethics Committee. He is a member of The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Colorado Healthcare Ethics Forum, and the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics. Mr. Kapsak served as an adjunct professor in the Regis University School for Professional Studies in the areas of philosophy, religious studies and business ethics. He is a member of the Colorado, Boulder County and the Nebraska State bar associations. Mr. Kapsak also is a member of the Boulder County Estate Planning Council. He earned his B.A. degree from St. Joseph’s College, his J.D. degree from Creighton University School of Law. JANE C. PADDISON is a sole practitioner in Boulder with Jane Caddell Paddison, P.C. She has been practicing for more than 25 years in the areas of federal and state taxation, with a special emphasis in the estate, gift and generation skipping transfer tax areas. Ms. Paddison has represented clients in tax planning as well as tax controversy matters before the U.S. Tax Court, the Internal Revenue Service, and local taxing authorities. She is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association, the Maine State Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, the U.S. Tax Court and the Louisiana State Bar Association. Ms. Paddison earned her B.A. degree, with honorsc from the University of Maine, her J.D. degree from the University of New Hampshire Law School (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) and her LL.M. degree from Boston University. She has a rating of “AV” by the nationally renowned publication Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating for excellence of practice and ethical standards, and is included in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers for 2010. Ms. Paddison is a former column editor of the Trust and Estate Law column for the Colorado Lawyer (1993-1994), and has been a lecturer at numerous continuing legal education programs. She currently serves on the legal committee of the Boulder Community Foundation, and provides her guidance to student participants of the Denver University Law School Wills Lab program.
