KERRI J. ATENCIO practices law at Roberts Levin Rosenberg PC, where she primarily represents insurance companies in coverage disputes and bad faith lawsuits, including ERISA cases. Ms. Atencio also handles employment, real estate, and commercial litigation matters and authored or contributed to more than a dozen articles on topics related to her practice areas. She is admitted to practice in the states of Colorado and Montana, as well as before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. For the second year in a row, she is a member of the American Heart Association Denver Heart Walk Executive Leadership Team, and has volunteered hundreds of hours to other community projects, pro bono cases and the improvement of the legal profession in her 12 years of practice. Ms. Atencio served as the chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyers Division from 2005-2006 and is a member of the Colorado Bar Foundation. JAMES D. JOHNSON practices law with the Denver firm of Ayd & Johnson, P.C. He has practiced law in Colorado since 1978 and is licensed to appear in all trial and appellate courts in the state of Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Throughout his 31 years of practice, Mr. Johnson's work has been concentrated in various aspects of the insurance defense field. In recent years, his practice has tended to concentrate on insurance coverage issues, defense of bad faith claims, and defense of insurance class-action litigation. Mr. Johnson is a frequent presenter at continuing legal education programs for attorneys, as well as continuing education programs for claim professionals and others in the insurance industry. He is a member of the American, Colorado and Denver bar associations, and the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. Mr. Johnson earned his B.A. degree from the University of Wyoming and his J.D. degree from the University of Denver College of Law. FRANKLIN D. PATTERSON is a senior partner with the Greenwood Village law firm of Patterson, Nuss & Seymour, P.C. His areas of practice include insurance law, personal injury, litigation and appeals, and employment law. A sought-after speaker, he makes presentations locally and internationally to lawyers, judges and insurance companies. Mr. Patterson teaches at the Masters in Trial for the American Board of Trial Advocates, educating lawyers in the art of trial work. In addition to annual election to SuperLawyers, he was voted Colorado's "Best of the Bar" in insurance defense. He is a member of the Arapahoe, Colorado and American bar associations, and the Defense Research Institute, American Board of Trial Advocates (president, Colorado Chapter 2001-2002), Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (president 1994-95) and International Association of Defense Counsel. Mr. Patterson earned his B.A. degree from Earlham College and his J.D. degree from the University of Denver College of Law. He also earned his Master of Science in Judicial Administration degree from the University of Denver. JEREMY A. SITCOFF is a shareholder in the Denver law firm of Roberts Levin Rosenberg PC, specializing in the areas of insurance bad faith, personal injury and commercial litigation. Mr. Sitcoff received his undergraduate degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and his master's degree from the University of Toronto. He is a 1997 graduate of The John Marshall Law School, where he served as editor-in-chief of The John Marshall Law Review. Mr. Sitcoff was a member of the 1997 Robert F. Wagner, Sr. National Labor Law Moot Court team which received the award for Best Respondent's Brief. After graduation, Mr. Sitcoff served as law clerk to the Honorable Jose D.L. Marquez of the Colorado Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Illinois and Colorado bars and the Denver, Colorado and American bar associations. Prior to joining Roberts Levin Rosenberg PC, Mr. Sitcoff represented insurance companies and their insureds in a wide variety of claims, including medical and dental malpractice, products liability, personal injury, construction defect, insurance coverage and bad faith. Mr. Sitcoff is active in the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith and is a participant in the Partners-in-Leadership program.
