December 19 - Pueblo HENRY J. GEISEL is a member of the law firm of Naylor & Geisel, P.C., where he practices in the areas of civil litigation, probate, commercial law and mediation. Mr. Geisel received his B.S. degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of the Pueblo County, Colorado (past chair, Interprofessional Committee) and American bar associations, and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Geisel is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. HON. JILL S. MATTOON was appointed as judge to the 10th Judicial District Court in Pueblo County in 2006, where she handles probate and criminal matters. Prior to being appointed, she was a deputy district attorney for Gus Sandstrom in Pueblo, in private civil practice with Petersen & Fonda in Pueblo, and an administrative law judge, doing workers' compensation cases. Judge Mattoon attended the University of Colorado at Boulder for her undergraduate degree and graduated from California Western School of Law in San Diego. KENDRA OYEN is an attorney with the law firm Gradisar, Trechter, Ripperger & Roth. Ms. Oyen's practice focuses on the areas of probate, wills and trusts, and family law. After graduating as valedictorian from Swink High School, she attended The Colorado College as a Boettcher Scholar graduating cum laude with a B.A. in political science in 1991. Ms. Oyen graduated from the University of Colorado, School of Law in 1994. Following law school, Ms. Oyen served as a deputy district attorney in several judicial districts. In 2007, Ms. Oyen was appointed as the Public Administrator for the Tenth Judicial District. December 20 - Denver DAVID W. KIRCH, in private practice in Colorado, has concentrated his practice in the areas of estate planning and probate and trust administration for the past 37 years. Mr. Kirch has been a lecturer on trusts and estates at the University of Denver Law School. He earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from California Lutheran College and his J.D. degree from the University of Colorado. Mr. Kirch is the column editor of the Estate and Trust Forum of the Colorado Lawyers. He has served as liaison between the Trusts and Estates Section and the Real Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association since 2009. Mr. Kirch is past chairman of the Trust and Estate Section of The Colorado Bar Association, past chairman of the Statutory Revisions Committee of the Probate and Trust Section of The Colorado Bar Association, and past co-chairman of the CBA Wills and Trust Form Book Revisions Committee. He is also a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Denver Estate Planning Council. Mr. Kirch is recognized as one of Colorado's top attorneys in the Trusts and Estates Law by 5280 Magazine. HON. STEPHEN M. MUNSINGER is the probate judge in the 1st Judicial District with a practice that included probate prior to taking the bench in 2001. CHARLES E. ROUNDS is an attorney at the law office of David W. Kirch, P.C., Attorneys at Law, where his primary emphasis of practice has been on estate planning, including wills, trusts, power of attorneys, and living wills. In addition to estate planning, other areas of practice include estate administration, guardianships and conservatorships, and probate litigation. He earned his B.A. degree from Georgetown University, College of Arts and Sciences, and his J.D. degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Mr. Rounds is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and Denver Bar Association. He also is co-editor of Loring, A Trustee's Handbook.
