JOHN R. BENITEZ is an attorney in the Transaction Section of the law firm of Moye White LLP. Mr. Benitez practices in the areas of complex commercial law, commercial leading/lending, contracts, finance, intellectual property, international law, mergers and acquisitions, partnership law, sports and entertainment, tax law, and real estate. He represents corporate and entrepreneurial clients in varied facets of business law, commercial real estate transactions, international law, and litigation. Mr. Benitez provides informed counsel in matters of business planning, contracts, recapitalizations, corporate finance, partnership agreements and complex commercial litigation, including alternative dispute resolution. He also advises clients in Section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges and financing arrangements. In the realm of sports and entertainment law, Mr. Benitez negotiates contracts on behalf of athletes and owners. He is a member of the American, Colorado and Denver bar associations, and the Denver Board of Realtors. Mr. Benitez earned his B.A. degree in international relations from the University of Virginia, a general course certificate in international law from Exeter University Law School and his J.D. degree in international, corporate and space law from Georgetown University Law Center. CAROLYN GRUBER ABRAHAMS is the managing shareholder at Sweetbaum, Levin & Sands, P.C. Ms. Abrahams specializes in real estate, commercial and asset based transactions, with significant practice experience that includes purchase and sales, development, zoning and land use, loans and financing transactions, loan workouts, foreclosures and receiverships, commercial leasing and property management, real estate brokerage, construction agreements, stock-purchase and asset based transactions, and entity organizational documents. Her experience and insight comes from many years serving as in-house general counsel and senior vice president of an affiliated group of real estate development, brokerage and management companies, as well as her years in private practice representing property owners, developers, lenders, entrepreneurs, landlords and tenants in transactions involving land, office, retail, restaurant and mixed-use income producing and development projects, and business transactions. Prior to joining Sweetbaum, Levin & Sands, P.C., in 2010, Ms. Abrahams was of counsel at Springer and Steinberg, P.C., general counsel at SullivanHayes Brokerage Corp. and a shareholder at Atler, Zall & Haligman, P.C. Ms. Abrahams has been involved in many industry and community-based organizations, and currently participates as a volunteer teacher through the Denver Bar Association's Denver Public Schools' Guest Teacher Project. FERN O'BRIEN is a partner at O'Brien Braun P.C., and is a member of its corporate/finance and business aviation law practice groups. Ms. O'Brien advises business clients on domestic and international transactions, including debt and equity financing, securities issues, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, licensing agreements, service and product distribution issues, general corporate matters, complex entity structuring and long-term corporate planning. She was a member of the board of the Boulder County Bar Association and she currently chairs the Privately Held Businesses Subsection of the Colorado Bar Association's Business Law Section. Ms. O'Brien received her B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota and J.D. degree from Rutgers University Law School where she was an editor of Rutgers Law Review and is admitted to the bars in Colorado, New York and Connecticut. ANDREW G. OH-WILLEKE is a sole practitioner in Denver with 15 years of experience in medium sized and large law firms. His practice includes business transactions, tax planning, and estate planning including asset protection planning, commercial litigation in and out of bankruptcy court, probate administration and tax litigation. He is a past professor at the College For Financial Planning. Mr. Oh-Willeke earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to practice in Colorado and New York. JOHN F. REHA is an attorney at The Reha law Firm, LLC, in Littleton, Colorado. Mr. Reha focuses his practice on litigating business disputes, including complex commercial matters; unfair competition cases; matters relating to covenants not to compete and trade secrecy restrictions; corporate split-up; and governance disputes. He also structures business organizations, with a focus on evaluating and capturing tangible and intangible assets and determining appropriate ownership interests of those involved. He has advised numerous clients in these areas and has successfully handled many large disputes, including numerous trials in various courts around Colorado, both to judges and juries. Mr. Reha also assists business owners and purchasers in relation to the purchase and sale of businesses. Mr. Reha also handles cases under the whistleblower provisions of the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act of 2010.
